I learned my lesson: The keg is great and totally worth the hype but… skip the seafood options, and go straight for the steak. We loved the Portuguese wine options, twice baked potato, and the whipped butter + bread. Next time, we’ll get the steak platter

Our server Eric was attentive, polite, and very friendly. Very reasonable prices for the size of the cuts, and perfect cook on the steaks. Sides were very good and piping hot. 10/10

Good location with plenty of parkinh. Our reservation was at 5 but they were not ready and the lobby couldn’t hold all people waiting. Once seated at upper floor things improved we had good service and good meal but somehow they limited us for 2 hours I found that cheap and not nice especially that it was a business dinner.

There for a private event this time. The restaurant is literally in an old stone manor, similar to those around Eastern Ontario from the period when the Canal was built. For that reason, certain parts aren’t accessible (up stairs or steps), but call first and it should be fine. Lovely antique decor everywhere. A working fireplace even for the chilly nights.
Its worth noting that this estate, named Maplelawn, has preserved its gorgeous garden through volunteers. It’s a lovely respite from the city any day.
The service was impeccable as always, not in your face, just there at the righ time to see if you needed anything else.
You can look the menu up online – its a steakhouse lol. That said, my order of a 6 Oz top sirloin was perfectly pink in the middle and charred outside (what they call Chicago style). I can’t pull that off at home!

The atmosphere was warm and familial.
We started with an alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage to kick off the evening. These were well-refreshing.
Next, we tried some baked garlic shrimp (gratiné) which was delicious and savory.
We followed suit with perfectly cooked steaks which were flavourful and juicy
The vegetable sides, however, were lacking taste and needed to be spruced up – some chilli flakes, lemon and more salt could have helped give them life. ⚡️ ️
We finished the meal with a warm and perfectly crafted cake.
ps we have been married for one year, but still like to celebrate life’s precious moments

The Keg normally does a good job and this location doesn’t disappoint. The food, atmosphere, and service was excellent on our last visit. I tried their holiday special which was very good. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and well seasoned.
I recommend calling for a reservation here. It’s a good choice for a nice dinner out. If you haven’t been to this location, it’s in an old stone manor. It’s one of our favorites for a nice evening out.

My first time here with my family for a birthday. Beautiful building, quiet and quaint inside, unlike a regular Keg that can be quite loud and busy, we were able to have a conversation without yelling lol The server, Dianna was on point. Polite and knowledgable, she was amazing. The food came out in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious. The calamari could have been a wee bit more crunchy but that could be all about the customer preference. I would deffinitly eat here again.
