Went with my family while visiting my daughter that lives in Carmi. My daughter, son in law and grandson all love Mr. Jalapeño!!! We went last year before the remodel. The remodel looks great and modern. While there was a lot of us in our party, we were quickly seated and waited on. We received our food in a timely manner. The food was delicious!!!

The “mixed” drink was straight juice. The drink menu was very dirty and there seems to be only one that the restraunt shares. The wait staff was unattentive and acted as if having a customer was an inconvenience. The place was empty sans one other table . It was very dirty as well . There were soiled aprons strewn about across the bar seating area as well.

The food for our birthday celebration was awful! Some people got (Black) burnt to a crisp chicken and some had chicken they were taking home to finish cooking!

One of the best places in town to get dinner. Food and drinks are priced very reasonably. Portion sizes are pretty big, especially the jumbo burrito. It was like nothing I had ever seen. It could have easily fed the whole table. I got the fajita burrito, which was much more reasonably sized.

Nothing like ordering something and telling them you don’t want something on your food and they still put it within your food i asked for no shrimp, no guacamole, no cheese, dip, no beans and light lettuce, and I come home to eat my food and I find shrimp in it. And this ain’t the first time that they’ve messed up my food

If I could leave less than one star I would. I want to be very fair the atmosphere decor was pretty lord of room my party of 3 were the only people here. The staff was not very friendly on this day. The food was cold had to be sent back my daughter found a beard hair in the cheese and the cheese dip was burnt It took 25 min to get the food to begin with. my daughters fajitas were good she liked them the rest of the food was terrible. We asked for lemons for our water 3 times and still didn’t get them. There were servers standing everywhere doing nothing. The seasoning for the meat has a good flavor. The portions are big for the price. I do try to always be fair when I leave a review so maybe it was just what we ordered that was terrible the mocajete was not good. We will not return.

My husband and I went for lunch, we both ordered the same thing. It was called the enchiladas banderas. he ordered his with chicken, and i asked for mine with ground beef. When they brought the food out, his order was completely wrong. they gave him 3 cheese enchiladas and a huge piece of chicken on top, which is not what he asked for. My order was wrong too, i specifically told him 3 times i want ground beef in my enchiladas and when i got my food, the enchiladas had steak in them. Both of our orders should’ve been $13 each. Instead they gave my husband the wrong thing and charged $18 for his. The food was awful, not what we asked for, and we got charged way more than we should have. From now on we will be going up to guadalajara in grayville to eat. This is also not the first time they’ve gotten our orders completely wrong, as it’s happened many times before.
