The staff is incredible. I wish I could shout them out, but I unfortunately didn’t get their names.
Not to mention the food is incredible and more than reasonably priced. They may have the best Buffalo wings I’ve ever had and you’ve got to try a slice of chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
out waitresses was beyond accommodating, and didn’t flinch at all of our requests. she even knew what restaurant was in this location prior, it’s was stumping the 2 of us being local. (Papa Vinos)
sometimes it’s all about the experience not even the food, even though that was good as well…
thank you, to whom ever the waitress was.
The cook they have now is incredible. He’s clearly a professional—his plating was on point, the food came out cooked perfectly, and he handled the entire kitchen by himself with ease. No chaos, no yelling—just smooth, quality work. You could tell he takes pride in what he does.
This kind of effort deserves real credit. If this cook stays, this location is going to be amazing. I’ll definitely be back again
I stay long hours, several waitress shifts long. 8-10 hours at a time. My initial order is pretty consistent. An orange juice, a hot chocolate, and a thermos of coffee – and if I haven’t eaten a rice pudding.
The staff are all very attentive, the place is always clean, and despite being open 24 hours, it does not draw in a crowd of “undesirables”.
Because I order so little and take up a booth for so long, I try to make sure and tip well.
The waitresses are intuitive enough to recognize when I’m “In the zone” and don’t bother me during these times. When I have relaxed a little, they check on me (I almost always have headphones in) in pseudo sign language and we sync up super quick on if I need something.
I don’t use their wifi, I use a portable hotspot, so I can’t speak on how their guest Internet is, although there does seem to be an available network.
Having a space to spread out with good light coverage and on demand beverages, including alcohol – somewhere to get away from home and dedicate as “work” hours has been very nice. I don’t sleep well and having a 24 hour spot to swing by and bang out a “shift” on my creative works is priceless.
My first interaction was with Jenna, I called ahead and made sure I wouldn’t be unwelcome if I just came up here and worked on my computer work and drank coffee. She seemed shocked that I called ahead to verify this was ok, I was a little worried I would be unwelcome for staying so long and not purchasing much.
Stephanie is awesome and cute to boot. Don’t mean to make it weird! 🙂
They make a decent white Russian and a decent pour on a rum and coke. I look 40 easy, but they still card me! Lol. Although, being someone who is more than a casual drinker and less than an alcoholic, I do find it difficult to pay $8 a drink. Don’t get me wrong, the drinks are good, but $22 will get me a fifth of my favorite tequila. This is a minor quip as I know they could charge more for their drinks. But I was indeed very surprised to know they had a fully stocked bar, I’ve never seen a Coney with one, I discussed this with a buddy and he was like “Whattt? They serve drinks?”.
I was asked if i wanted to join their rewards program after one of my latest visits, and although I don’t normally participate in rewards programs, I think I will take them up on their offer, I think I’m going to be coming here to continue cutting out blocks of my day for “work” and hopefully pump out some of the several thousand pages of creative writing I have in the works.
This will be my go to spot for all the reasons above and more.
Thank you for serving a very underrepresented sector (24 hour dine in service) in sterling heights. Thank you for your welcoming and attentive staff and thank you for giving me personally a place to put words to paper in a dedicated fashion.
