Amazing experience — exceptional steak and service!
We dined at Rare Steakhouse in Melbourne and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From start to finish the meal was top-tier — the steaks were perfectly cooked with beautiful char marks and rich flavor, paired with silky mashed potato and crisp green beans that complemented every bite. The sauces served in little brass pots were a standout touch.
The desserts were equally impressive: a decadent sticky date pudding with a crisp sugar shard and a perfectly torched crème brûlée — both served with great presentation and balance of sweetness.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with attentive staff who made us feel well looked after. The wine selection was excellent and paired perfectly with our meal.
Would highly recommend Rare Steakhouse for anyone after quality steak and a memorable dining experience in Melbourne!

First time having Steak and this was a good first time experience. As soon as we entered, the staff greeted us and we’re all very welcoming and attentive. The mash was amazing and the steak was divine. We got ours medium rare and it was perfect. If you want a spontaneous one night with the girls or a date and don’t mind breaking your bank account, go treat yourself. Do it for the experience. Go be rich for one night hahah.

Nice diner for meat lovers, we had the best steak ever, the beef was really tender and juicy, french fries crispy. The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is vibrant but a bit too noisy for me. Nevertheless we enjoyed the moment very much.

10/10. Can be busy and noisy even on a weekday so definitely book. Everything was premium quality & delicious, well prepared seasoned. Couldn’t fault it. Have a range of options that won’t break the budget or if you are feeling adventurous $. A good budget stake will set you back at least $50 not including sides. Definitely great place to go for a good formal catch up. 🙂

But had the mb7 wagu steak, after having spent 3 weeks in Japan and eating lots of wagu steak, what we get in Australia as wagu is criminal, it’s not worth the money
Lovely steak cooked well- ish asked for rare more of a medium rare. Still very nice steak , worth 100+ for 300g steak no ..
The other steaks were awesome as well

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday. Thanks to kind ‘Tom’, we enjoyed our dinner. He explained kindly well especially for drinks. If you are fan of sweet&sour flavour, try ‘limoncello&blood orange splits’ with half/one shot of lemon juice. This was so good that it became one of Mt favorites.

We wanted to treat ourselves one last time in Melbourne and decided to enjoy a nice steak dinner here. My T-bone steak was absolutely delicious (perfectly cooked). The fries were okay, but nothing particularly special. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive which we really appreciated.
The only downside was the atmosphere. Unfortunately, it was quite loud, which made it feel a bit less cozy than we had hoped, especially considering the price we paid for steaks and wine.
Overall, we would definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food and the excellent service. Just be prepared for a lively and noisy environment.

Every time I come to melbourne RARE is a necessity. Great service, steak and drinks make the trip so much better! In ths past i’ve had the ribeye but the oconnor scotch fillet is great! I recommend the fried onions side!

We had a lovely dinner and dessert at Rare steakhouse. The staff were all wonderful – attentive without being over the top, very well presented and welcoming.
The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sticky date pudding for dessert was delicious.
