817.283.3121 In 1953 our grandfather, Giacomo, came to live the American Dream. He moved from Saviano, Italy to live in Long Island, New York. He met his wife and started a family, opening their first location in Long Island, New York, named Village Pizza. As business flourished we moved to a larger location and changed the name to Alfieri Brothers’ Pizzeria. Again, we outgrew the size of the restaurant and relocated to a larger side of the center where we have remained since 1991. The following year, Saverio Alfieri decided to head south and expand the family business by opening a location in North Texas. Since then, Saverio and his two sons, Anthony and Giacomo, have managed to create one of Dallas/Ft. Worth’s best Italian restuarant.

I forgot to mention the staff. Cody was a wonderful waiter. We enjoyed chatting with him and learning a few things about the restaurant. The food and drinks came out so quickly, we were quite happily surprised. Everything went super smoothly and the staff seem to work together as a team to help each other out. That makes for a happy place for customers.
The food was amazing — definitely authentic Italian food. Garlic knots, fine appetizers and great entrees.
We had the spicy calamari (best ever!), dinner special which was shrimp piccata over pasta and THE FEAST which is red sauce over angel hair with sausage, meatballs and meat sauce. It was all great and we highly recommend.
Mitch H. was our server — professional, friendly, witty and quick!
..but the pizza was greasy and the crust had a lot of flour on the bottom and was burnt..
The negatives: the left side of the bar is freezing. Seems they know of the issue…but nothing has been done?
My husband’s thin crust pizza kinda looked like a tortilla! He did like it, I was just thought it was a bit odd. Nothing outstanding, assuming it’s meant to be a Romana style.
Shrimp Fra Diavolo: 1. not spicy at all, 2. Shrimp were overcooked. 3. Mussels, something was off about them. Super gritty and didnt taste good. 4. Boxed pasta, which for an authentic Italian restaurant, I was hoping for fresh, but get that maybe it’s not feasible? 5. Sauce, lacked flavor and tasted like straight canned tomatoes with some basil mixed in.
Mini scallops were good, but mixed in with everything else that was subpar, was just a letdown.
Oh and the house salad was drenched in red wine vinegar…little too much for my taste.
I know this is a local favorite, just not for me I guess!
I’ve been to this Italian restaurant three times now, and overall, it’s one of my go-to spots when I’m craving good pasta and a nice atmosphere. One thing I love is that the kitchen is somewhat open.. if you sit at the bar, you can actually see the chefs cooking. It’s really cool to watch.
They also have live music, which adds a nice touch, although personally, it’s not really that great. I wouldn’t necessarily plan my visit around it, but some people might enjoy it.
My very first visit was with my mom, and we had Victoria as our server she was absolutely amazing! Super attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. Honestly, she’s the reason I became a repeat customer. The second time, I had a diff bartender who was really nice, funny, and just overall great service.
This most recent visit, I had Karina, and while she wasn’t rude, she was definitely slow. It was a busy night, but I’ve had better service even at Chick-fil-A. If I saw she was my server again, I’d probably turn around.
As for the food it’s consistently really good. My favorites are the lobster ravioli and the spicy pasta (I always ask for half grilled, half fried chicken, and the manager was kind enough to make that happen for me). Both dishes are top-tier. I did try a chicken Alfredo pesto pasta once, but it wasn’t on the menu and I wouldn’t recommend ordering it even if they offer—it just didn’t hit the same.
All in all, I’d definitely come back, especially when I know my favorite server is working. The food, the open kitchen vibe, and the overall atmosphere make it worth it.
adding a picture of the “salad” I got because I couldn’t stop laughing when it came out. It was so sad it looked like it needed a salad of its own. especially compared to the others it looked so sad and empty figured i would share for a laugh!
Unfortunately, the food was just okay — bordering on meh. First off, “meat sauce” shouldn’t just be red sauce ladled over ground meat, but that’s exactly what I got (the picture says it all). The meatballs were light but mushy and underseasoned. The sausage was soft and mealy. The Arrabiata that came with the calamari was just the same marinara with a few peppers tossed in, and the “marinara” for the fried mozzarella tasted identical — minus the peppers. The seafood scampi special was also underseasoned and watery on the plate.
The bright spot was the service. Cody knew the menu, made great recommendations, and was attentive throughout the meal. I just wish the kitchen lived up to his enthusiasm.
