I loved this place! I’ve never been a bbq fan, but my step brother wanted to go, And I loved the fact they were Christian! Yes, I’m being iased, oh well! But the food was actually well priced for being bbq and the hush puppies were super good! The coleslaw was good and I’m thankful that it was NOT like Gordon Food Services because there’s is sour! And I liked that I mixed the baked beans with the coleslaw because that’s always good! Got to have an early spring with the BBQ cuz that reminds me of spring, burgers and Dawgs on the grill, and the coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad is what makes me think spring or summer here!

I love buddys. It’s usually one of my favorite places to go on special occasions. But this last time was definitely a bummer . We got there about 8 last night. Went to the counter and went to order and when we started the order the cashier was sighing and rolling her eyes like we were an inconvenience. As soon as we placed the order my wife had to use the restroom and when she went in there she said it was really hard to get into one of there stalls because they had the floor mats haning on the doors of the stalls. After she came out we had sat down to eat our food when she realized she could use some more sour cream for her potato which was cold enough that the butter would not even melt, so I went to the counter to ask for more and the lady rolled her eyes and sighed again like I was an inconvenience. As we were eating I was very disappointed in the way the ribs were cooked. They were very tough and super chewy. But while we were eating one of the employees were cleaning the lobby and was putting up all the chairs on the tables while people were still eating. It felt honestly like they were trying to force us out. And by that time it was only 8:30. When we were done eating the employe that was cleaning had pulled out the table that was right behind her and had scooted it to where she could not even get out of the booth because she was trapped between. I understand the importance of a good pre close but that was ridiculous. Overall the food was cooked poorly and the whole atmosphere was just like pushing us out. I am very disappointed.

Tonight we went to Buddy’s BBQ in Sevierville. They have a Tuesday special of pulled pork entree, 2 sides, hushpuppies, and a drink for $10. Definitely a win! I had the potato salad and baked beans. The pork is Carolina style BBQ with the vinegar flavor and the potato salad has a hint of mustard. You get 4 delicious hush puppies with the meal. Lots of food. My only recommendation would be to put the mac ‘n cheese on the menu board. I was wanting mac ‘n cheese and was disappointed when I didn’t see it on the menu, so I ordered potato salad instead. When we were leaving, I saw several folks with the mac ‘n cheese and it looked very good. Just my opinion. Still a very good meal!

Third generation Texan living in East Tennessee now. I’ve had the best BBQ and this is really good. I usually get the Pulled Pork Sandwich with slaw. Ribs are good too. The BBQ beans aren’t my favorite. Prices are the best around. The owner or manager comes around and greets everyone. There are other locations in Knoxville but I haven’t tried those.

We were in town for a Volleyball tournament and love to try new places. We chose this BBQ destination because it had great reviews and the pictures looked amazing. However, what we received today didn’t really match what we saw online? The food was pretty good but we were let down by the presentation and portions. The staff was friendly and it was nice that they had a dedicated person keeping the dining room clean.

We ordered the Feed 5 Chicken Meal from Buddy’s BBQ and it was perfect for a take-home family dinner. Our food was ready right when we arrived, and it came with everything we needed — plates, silverware, and plenty of BBQ sauce. The smoked chicken was excellent — juicy and full of flavor. The baked beans were tasty without being overly sweet, and the coleslaw had just the right amount of dressing, not heavy or soggy. Everything traveled well and fed our family easily. I’d definitely recommend this as a great pick-up meal to take back to your cabin if you’re visiting the area!
