Best food we had in Maui! We could not get enough of Coconuts Fish Café and ended up going back 3–4 times during our trip.
I’m not even a big fish person, so I got the Kahlúa pork sandwich and it was absolutely to die for. So flavorful and one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. My husband got the fish tacos (their specialty) and even I tried a bite and thought they were really good.
The fries were amazing too. Everything was fresh and delicious every time we went. This was easily our favorite place to eat in Maui definitely a must try!

We had awesome food here! I had the fish tacos and “made it a mountain” meaning the taco contents was served over rice. My husband got the mahi mahi. We loved our food. I had never had fish tacos and I think no other will compare! SO DELICIOUS!
Price was reasonable, food was fresh, and service was friendly and helpful. You order at the counter but it still feels like a “sit down restaurant”. I will return and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

If you’re looking for a flavor-packed meal, the fish tacos and coconut shrimp here are absolute standouts! The fish tacos are fresh and vibrant, with tender fish, crisp slaw, and fresh mango salsa on warm tortillas. The coconut shrimp appetizer has six medium size shrimp that are crunchy with just the right touch of sweetness, and the dipping sauce has the perfect combination of sweet and spicy.

The poke nachos were a failure. I don’t think much effort went into making them or presenting them. Toppings were applied haphazardly and the dish itself lacked flavor. My wife’s fish and chips were average. My mahi mahi plate lacked any pineapple as advertised on their menu and the rice was a bit overcooked.

Great fish tacos. The spirit of Aloha lives here. Staff are pleasant and courteous. Food very good. Clean tables. Prices are fair. The beer is cold. Close to most things in Kihei. You might have to wait to order.

We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and tastiness of the entrees here. The grilled ono salad was a winner with a fresh fish filet, grilled to perfection with lemon butter sauce, beautifully plated atop a bed of crisp mixed greens, sweet red peppers, chopped mango, red onions, and macademia nuts. Accompanied by 2 grilled shrimps and a pineapple vinaigrette, it was a delicious, healthy value. Hubby enjoyed the mochiko chicken local plate – well-prepared juicy chicken chunks with a flavorful teriyaki sauce (or the tiger sauce). Orders are taken at the counter with self-seating and self-service of drinks. Staff were warm, promptly bringing food and cleaning and turning over tables. Generous portions. We plan to return.

Coconuts was an easy walk from our hotel in Kihei. Walking into the restaurant, we found it to be bright, clean and airy with fun surf board shaped tables. The place head a warm local vibe and the staff was super friendly.
We walked up to the counter while starting at the large easy to read menus, but we knew what we wanted…. The infamous fish tacos. We chose 2 orders of the fish tacos and picked a table.
The orders arrived quickly. The tacos were loaded with lots of fish and we’re beautifully garnish with tomatoes and mango. Biting into the tacos you could taste the delicious fresh ingredients and the freshly grilled dish. The tacos were warm and the fish was tender and juicy.
As I had told the staff on the way out…these are the best fish tacos on the island!

Neat place for a quick lunch. Great food. Laid back atmosphere. Had mini crab cakes and tuna poke bowl. Both were delicious. Few beers on tap have hubby and me adequate choice for beverages. Good prices and friendly, fast service.
