This store was pretty cool. If you are a souvenir person, it’s right up your alley. I don’t much care about them though, when I go somewhere, that’s all I need to know. They did have a huge assortment. The lady running the cash register was a total grouch though. She was complaining about the long line and that she hasn’t eaten yet. She was mean mugging everyone. It was off putting for the experience.

The gift shop is so cute and has gifts and a lot of different price ranges so everyone can shop in Hell (lol) the ladies that work in the shop are a hoot! I definitely recommend sending a postcard from Hell, they add a special touch that is so much fun!!
They have good Hershey’s Ice cream and the mini golf is not to pricey either!!

Despite living in Michigan for the first 18 years of my life, I never found myself in Hell until recently.

We drove up from Tennessee to visit family near Flint recently.

For years, my son has said he wanted to visit Hell, Michigan, on our next visit, so we carved out some time on our trip to go to Hell.

Although it’s a “blink and you’ll miss it” kind of spot, there is a certain novelty and charm to the place. Obviously, there are plenty of opportunities to take pictures to show everyone that you’ve been to Hell.

The Screams From Hell Gift Shop and Creamatory were the standouts for me. They have a ton of souvenirs that you can pick up to show you’ve been to Hell and back. I got one of their poker chips, and I picked up a few postcards, too.

You can actually mail your postcard from the store, but I opted to hold onto mine as a keepsake. Now, you do have the option of getting your postcard stamped and burnt. Yes, I said burnt. I stood in line and watched the woman at the register take a lighter, hold it up to my postcard, and proceed to burn markings on it as if I had just returned from the actual fiery inferno.

Don’t pass up on the Creamatory while you’re there, either. I got a single-scoop cone of their graham cracker-flavored ice cream, and it was fantastic.

Oh, and you can actually be mayor of Hell for the day.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Again, it’s not a big place, but we had a blast. I’m glad we made time in our short vacation for a brief moment in Hell.

Great place to visit. Hell was frozen over on my vist. I’ll definitely try to visit in the summer when it everything is open. The saloon has great food and everyone was friendly.

Such a random stop in Michigan, but if you’re passing by, it’s worth a quick visit. There’s a yummy ice cream shop inside the saloon. Prices are not bad, and there’s an outdoor area to explore as well. Go to hell.

Always a treat to visit Hell and even though there isn’t really anything left of the incorporated community, it’s fun and a good way to spend time with family and friends. The gift shop has to be the best part of the town and it draws people in from all over. It is definitely worth the money to keep a small but historical part of Michigan.

Bathrooms are in the building to the east of the parking lot.
Employees are pretty great.
Get the ice cream and be prepared to take 30-60 minutes going through the putt putt. We were literally the only ones playing & it took us forever to get through the course.
