First, the staff is friendly and helpful. The food was authentic Dominican island food. We had rice yellow and white, beans and salmon. Next I’ll try the mangu breakfast. Didn’t see they still had some. So good!

First I called and ordered chicharones they charged me right away and then called me 5 minutes later to inform me they did not have any available. What’s worse is I placed my order over 2 hours ago..food has not yet arrived. Called 45 minutes ago and was told that my order should be arriving any minute now. I couldn’t imagine my food would still be warm.

Omg, if you like Spanish cuisine, this hidden gem is a must try. Since my first visit years ago, I have not been disappointed with my experience. The food is delicious and the prices are truly reasonable. The service is very friendly. But you may want to brush up on your Spanish just a little. Lol

The food is good!! The staff is either hit or miss, sometimes you get a nice and informative waitress, and other times you get one that either barely pays any attention because she’s having another conversation while taking your order on the to-go side, the place itself could and should be a little updated, they do deliver which is a bonus.

When I tell you that not only is the food delicious they also have a heart of Gold!!! I hired them to cator my daughters baby shower. Unfortunately 2 days before our event my daughter had to undergo an emergency csection. They didn’t hesitate to refund me the money we paid even though they were clearly at a loss. The compassion and the understanding they delivered to my family and I is priceless!! Tu Pais restaurant… you guys rock!!! Thank you for your service!! Is business like yours who makes this world a better place!!!

Expect to pay 20% more if you’re not Dominican. Food is delicious though. This is why I look elsewhere no pricelist so they can put any price on you if you’re not a regular and non Spanish speaking customer.

The mofongo was great one of the best I’ve had in NJ and the chicharon de pollo didn’t have that burnt oil taste, I had to wait a little while but I rather wait and get everything freshly made. Overall a great meal
