Rusty Bucket is one of our favorite chain places. The food is always consistent. The El Cubano sandwich is amazing. The fish tacos are decent with some hot sauce. Don’t be dissuaded by the photo because I always get broccoli instead of fries/corn melody. The usual plating looks better. We also like the Spellbound Cabernet wine. It’s not sophisticated, but is well balanced and smooth. Our last visit we watched the Buckeye game over some drafts and had a great experience.

Family wernt for dinner tonight and daughter got chix tenders and fries. She loved it. Wife got french onion soup and salad. Soup was great, salad was horrible. Not sure if it was rinsed lettuce or what, but she said it tasted bad. I order the Baja fish tacos with corn salad side. By far the worst meal I have had in a while. Fir the corn salad was loaded with a powder cheese the had tons of spices, just not a good combo IMO. Took one bite and set it aside. Tried the tacos and (came with 3) after one bite I was done. Fish was overcooked, rubbery. Just not a good experience. Been to this location and always had great meals, but tonight was just bad. For some reason I opt to box it up to take home. Figured I could give it to the dog.

SAD.

The price gouging going on reached a pinnacle for me today. The guest behind me as well.

I arrive for LUNCH. As I was reviewing the menu I heard the guest behind me expressing concern that the price for his lunch with drink and tip used to be around $22-$23 and now the one menu item itself cost that. I don’t think he will be back.

I added a small bowl of soup to my burger, fries, drink order. That tiny bowl of soup, about what a CAN at the grocery store would portion… was $7.99. At lunch time when prices are usually lower. Good thing I didn’t order at dinner. I have a cat to feed.

This insane price hiking is going to damage your business model which REQUIRES customers to come in and enjoy to be successful. If we stop coming….. ???

I KNOW you lost a customer today. I think you lost another.

It used to be commonly known in business…it is MUCH cheaper to retain an existing customer than to attract new ones to replace us.

I asked to chat with a manager before posting this. I spoke to Mike then was put on hold. Then the General Manager picked up.

Long story short…her understanding from Mike was it was a price discrepency issue, not price hikes offending guests. She readily offered to check prices for me. While sitting in the back… during LUNCH rush???

Advice: Mike, you got it wrong relaying it man. Then you put me on an uninformed hold, indefinately.

A GM belongs on the FLOOR 90% of the time checking in with GUESTS. Otherwise, there’s no quality assurance, happy customers who will return or leadership to right wrongs on the spot.

Food is always good. Was going to get a mocktail for a teen and the server disclosed that you must be 18 for their non-alcoholic mocktails because they have alcohol in them. Little weird since they’re non-alcoholic, plus if they’re not, why 18 and not 21? Just sharing so others know to be aware if avoiding alcohol.

I was surprised at the quality of the food being a chain restaurant and didn’t have much hope for the place, but we decided to give the place a chance and we were quite happy the we did.
I even ordered the same meal the next night and had it delivered.

We had the Baja street tacos and the peel and eat shrimp.

The Baja Tacos were very good, with a bit of spice from the blackened seasoning fish being cooked well with a nice balance of flavors and freshness.

Mexican street corn was good, not a fresh corn, but wasn’t expecting it to be.

Food was delicious. Haven’t had fish tacos in a while so they hit that itch. Service was good as well. If I’m in Columbus and we need a place to eat again I wouldn’t say no.

Overall, I’m not impressed to want to come back. Burgers are good. Onion rings are just boring and plain. The season fries are nothing to say anything about. Sweet tea wasn’t even that good. French Onion soup is the first time trying it; it was good for my first time. My waitress was good. She help stopped me from over ordering like I do. I do like how amazing the bathroom was set up. That impressed me the most.

I ordered…
– French Onion Soup
– Just for Kiddos: Sliders with bacon and season fries
– Onion Rings

I stopped in last night for dinner, the atmosphere was nice it was a little loud for being sort of empty but I sat in a booth in the bar area. Could’ve been the timing since I was there from 5p-6p. My waitress was quick and I ate within 20 min of her taking my order. I ordered a crock of french onion soup which came out super hot and was absolutely delicious. For my main dish I ordered the Imposter Burger with fries and a Blue Moon to drink. My total was $31.47 which I don’t think was too bad. I had a nice dinner and enjoyed my time.
