This is by far one of the best Venezuelan restaurants in Charlotte!
They offer a solid menu with a good variety of traditional items. I came here for lunch with two coworkers, and I had the cachapa with cheese and chiken. I mean, wow! I absolutely loved it. I also tried their sugar cane lemonade (papelon con limon) and it definitely passed the test.
Los Chamos is in a centrally located plaza on South Blvd. in a busy area with its own free parking lot. If you are not from the area, no worries, the GPS should take you straight ot it.
Staff is fully bilingual and super friendly. Common areas are spacious and clean. There is no outside seating.
100% recommended.

Los Chamos is a charming little Venezuelan restaurant that exceeded our expectations, by a lot! We stopped in for lunch after shopping all morning. The owner personally took care of us, adding a thoughtful and personal touch to the dining experience. The food was outstanding—not only incredibly flavorful but also beautifully presented. The owner offered up desserts but we settled on café con leche Venezuelan-style, and it was tasty as well. It’s clear that a lot of heart goes into both the service and the cuisine. We can’t wait to return with friends and share this amazing find.

The food truly impressed me: The empanadas were perfectly crispy, the cachapas delicious, and the variety of traditional Venezuelan dishes made it hard to choose just one. Wonderful resturant with authentic Venezuelan dishes. My girl friend is from Venezuela and loved this place. Dishes are large and you should get plenty to eat. Service was quick and professional. Inside atmosphere was pleasant and upscale. A stark contrast to the strip mall the resturant is located in. I’d visit here again. Great place to recommend to your friends.

We had a delicious dinner on a Friday night! Our server Ricardo was very attentive and kind. I’m Venezuelan and this food is legit and authentic with delicious twists. Great for food lovers overall! Don’t sleep on their delicious cocktails (Rum sour!!!) will be back again and again! Pictured: Pepito de pollo (Venezuelan grilled chicken sandwich) and Cachapa Trio but we also had the tequeños and the yuca balls.

Tina with Offline – First time having venezuelan food and oh my god- the empatacos and yuca balls are to die for. 10/10. Fried just right- you don’t even need to order entrees because the empatacos are huge. and they gave us a side of yuca which was soo tasty! can’t wait to come back! hole in the wall restaurant and a hidden gem

What an incredible experience at Los Chamos! From the moment we walked in, the service was superb, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant was spotless, and the presentation of the food was beautiful.
Now let’s talk about the food… absolutely delicious and full of authentic Venezuelan flavor! The cachapa with cheese and steak was soooo good , perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying. The patacones with shredded meat were outstanding, packed with flavor and texture, and the black beans were simply amazing. Every bite nailed all the right notes.
We truly had a wonderful time at this gem in Charlotte, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Venezuelan food done right!

I came to Los Chamos on a mission—to find a cachapa like the one I tried on a recent trip, and they delivered! The corn pancake and cheesy filling were absolute perfection—just the kind of comfort food I was craving.
