Great friendly restaurant and bar on the marina. Good food, good cocktails.
Live entertainment most nights, Wednesdays is classic rock with Ron’s Garage band, very talented musicians playing great 70’s & 80’s rock and roll..

Staying at the Gaylord Pacific and this is the only off site restaurant in walking distance. There is a sign to see the hostess for a seat but no one seated us and a group leaving told us they had to seat themselves. We noticed the waiter was alone and he was spread too thin.
He was real nice and did what he could to keep up. We blame the management for not having the staff to run a decent restaurant. We got our food 5 minutes before our drinks and the kid’s water. The fish and chips were good, I got a good amount of fish and the fries were pretty good. My wife was happy with her chicken quesadilla and my son liked his poke. The clam chowder was so-so.
All in all it was good because of the waiter, the location and some pretty good food, if there was competition, I would pass.

Fun and lively atmosphere on a Saturday night, including a live band. I sat at the bar, had the fish and chips, and enjoyed the party around me. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. It’s a perfect place to escape the Gaylord next door.

We visited this bar due to a google recommendation while we stayed in Chula Vista for one night on our California Roundtrip. A very nice spot, directly at the marina. Delicious food and a fantastic live band – wonderful! This was the perfect evening for us.

Beautiful ocean views and great seafood at The Galley! We started with the ahi tuna poke, and for entrees had the mango mahi and surf and turf skewers. We loved sitting on the dog friendly patio with a great view of the pier. The severs are all very friendly. We had to wait about 25 minutes for our table on a Saturday afternoon and the food took a bit of time to come out, but the environment makes up for it. Recommend!

Okay, I’ll start with the pros. The food is always excellent and the scenery is fantastic. But that’s where the good ends. They REALLY need to do a better job cleaning. The tables, chairs, condiment bottles, and menus always feel greasy, sticky and just gross. Also, we went there on 10/4/25 around 4:30pm before it got too busy and our waitress (initials were S. D.) didn’t come to check on us the entire time we ate. She came when we were almost done and asked if we wanted boxes and the check. No drink refills, didn’t ask if we needed anything else. Nothing. Very off putting. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We were over it. Will probably be a while before we go back, if at all.

I stayed at the Gaylord Resort and decided to try this place across the street. Nice scenic walk to the marina/pier/shore. Great customer service (Sirenia)! I had the Steak w/gorgonzola cream sauce-excellent! Clam chowder was okay. I’d definitely come back! Recommend making reservations! It picks up after 6pm

For decades, our family has come to the Galley for anything from a quick lunch, a date night, or to watching my Uncle perform with his band on the patio. Today, we had family visiting from out of State and this was their last day, so we decided to have a meet up for lunch at the Galley. My elderly mother and I got there first and noticed a group already gathered out front waiting. I put our name in, they gave us an approximate wait time of 30-35 minute wait for first available. The hostess informed us with a tone like she would rather have us leave than burden her with another table to seat
.. EVEN THOUGH THEY WEREN’T BUSY! I’ve seen this place packed before, with people standing, every table full, and we got quicker and friendlier service! The rest of our family arrived about 20 minutes later. Not a single name was called to be seated in that entire time… None of the people waiting ahead of us had been seated. There were plenty of empty tables inside and outside. EMPTY TABLES. I would say I saw maybe 11 tables of people who were actually being served food. The rest of the restaurant was EMPTY. NONE OF THE PEOPLE WAITING HAD BEEN CALLED TO BE SEATED. NOT A SINGLE ONE. Our family members went several times to find what was going on and why it was taking so long, and no one was even available to answer us or provide reasoning for the long wait. The hostess was MIA. We ended up leaving, because if you can’t at least seat us and bring us some waters or even be there to answer our questions about the wait, then I’m pretty sure actually ordering and getting food would be impossible and just another reason to leave a crappy review. There were probably over 20-30 tables available. But we got to sit out front, waiting to just be seated. I’m assuming this was probably because of a staffing shortage, but anyone in Customer Service should have a policy or system in place to accommodate your patrons when there is going to be a long wait. A table with a heater, maybe some waters and some bread until a waiter/ waitress could take our order would have fixed this problem… we would have at least been able to sit at a table together and socialized but nope.. empty tables were not available to us. Service with a smile and basic information was not on the menu today between 1:30pm and 2:15pm. Shame on the Galley. They completely LOST an entire family who has been coming for decades. It was THAT BAD! There’s no excuse for what happened today!

The overall experience at this restaurant was outstanding. From the start, staff created a friendly and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the meal. The menu included a wide range of delicious options, making it easy to find something appealing. Each dish tasted fresh and was served quickly, arriving warm and well-presented. The flavors were consistent and satisfying, clearly reflecting attention to detail in preparation. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and drinks were kept full throughout. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Every aspect of the visit was positive, making this a restaurant worth revisiting often.
