Tucked in the heart of St. Louis’s historic Dogtown neighborhood, Seamus McDaniel’s is more than a pub it’s a tradition. A cozy cornerstone for locals, this family friendly Irish-American spot serves up legendary burgers, ice cold drafts, and a warm welcome that feels like home.
Straightforward bar food & drink served in a warm space with Irish-green accents & a large patio.

It was a great place for our family gathering. There was plenty of space. I’ve heard their burgers are amazing, and I think I should have ordered one. Instead, I got the chicken wings. They were very good, but not the best I’ve ever had in my life. Stick with the burgers, and you’ll be amazed. My mother couldn’t finish hers. She gave me a bite, and it was great. She got the barbecue burger.

My family and I have been coming to Seamus for years! I love the pub-like atmosphere. Really gives it a welcoming feel. I always get Dunk the Veggie for my appetizer. It’s colliflower and broccoli dipped in mozzarella and then beaded. It is one of my favorite appetizers! My last two times here, I got the Spicy Smash Burger with pepper jack and jalapenos…amazing! One of the best burgers I’ve had! I also get a side of chili, which is also some of the best I’ve had (has a nice sweetness to it). Seamus will always be one of my go-to restaurants when I am in the city or looking for a nice lunch/dinner near Forest park.

This is an Irish pub. I can’t speak to their drinks cocktails or otherwise. It looked like they are well stocked. Bit what I went for was the burger, an actual burger that hasn’t had all of the flavor smashed out of it. This is one of the few places left that serves real burgers, that you can specify how rare you want it. Everywhere else has figured out they can charge more for less meat by smashing smaller patties to fit the same sized bun. The burger here was far larger than the bun thick, juicy and well seasoned. For those of you that want the other type of burger they have that too. Will return, maybe ill get a beer next time, as long as it’s with a thick juicy burger.

As we all know, Seamus is a St. Louis staple.
Overall it took a while to get seated with half the diningroom empty, the servers were unpleasant however the food was great.
Such a great space, loud and vibrant. Too bad the servers seem bored and un inspired.
We started with a salad and wings which were great, followed by a roast beef with au jus and the wife got a Ruben. Meat was stacked hi on both sandwiches with fresh bread.
Its a feel good restaurant and bar with both dogtown locals and folks from around town. Seamus has that feel good vibe!

Prompt service. Ate in the bar area at a high top table. Very comfortable atmosphere. Bar tender was polite and accommodating, checking on me, and other patrons, regularly. Food was so good! Beer was cold!

We came yesterday before dinner rush and were amazed by the variety, quality, portion size, and pricing of the foods we tried. I like to try a few things at a new place, and if I wasn’t feeling under the weather, I would have licked every bowl clean. This place is a gem for stl Irish pub scenery, and genuine home-style food with a welcoming atmosphere. Funnily enough, the pasta con broccoli was better than most gourmet italian restaurants could produce, probably because it is vampire-repellent (in the best way possible!!). This is our new favorite pub in saint louis, no contest. I only wish I could have eaten more, but the leftovers are calling my name today! We will be back soon.

It was not extremely busy when we got here. Service was extremely slow, wait staff was nice but just very slow Food was served warm, but took incredibly long to arrive. We had 3 people, one order completely failed to arrive, it was missed so it took an incredibly lengthy time for it to get replaced. A side we ordered did not show up and took incredibly long to arrive. Food was good. Bathrooms were okay. Menus did not list caloric value of meal. Only 1 of 3 orders were correct, lengthy wait for initial meal and meal correction, not the place for us. Your experience may be different than ours, so give it a try.

Food was amazing, and we got seated right away outside. Our server was fast and very nice, also had good recommendations on what to order. The other staff was very friendly as well always opening the door for you if you needed to go inside. Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.

One of the best Irish pubs in town, right in the heart of Irish Dogtown. The back patio is fantastic — a great place to grab a bite or drink on a warm summer day. Super bar as you enter, and a dining area with wooden booths, tables and chairs. The portions are ample and the food is a notch above. Overall this is a very pleasant, authentic Irish pub!

Seamus is always our go to place to take our 3 young kids. They even have newly updated kids menus that have plenty of kid aproved foods and come with drinks! The patio is perfect on a nice day. The buffalo chicken sandwich is gigantic and delicious and the ranch it comes with is worth the price alone- SO good! Their burgers are huge and really good as well. The servers are always nice and attentive and the beers are always cold.
