It was an off night. I came in late, several employees walked by me and said someone would be with me to seat me while I waited 10 minutes to be sat in an empty restaurant. Im pretty sure the manager waited on us because there was only one server left. They were out of smoked turkey so I ordered the brisket. I was then told no brisket. My dining partner had also ordered brisket with wings. Her brisket was replaced by pulled pork. I was given the brisket pan scraping, which I was happy for because I wanted beef. The guy who waited on us was super nice and went out of his way to make us happy. Won’t do Sonny’s late again.

We drove 110 miles round trip. To get some Sonny’s goodness to go. We let them know we were coming from Stuart. (2) Family packs all packed up nice and neat for the trip. We were in and out in 5 minutes. Better smoky flavor than I could ever remember from the Stuart location.

This was one of the worst orders I’ve ever received from Sonic BBQ. I ordered the Pick 3 Combo and the Pick 2 Meal, both of which are supposed to come with sides and bread. Everything was missing—no sides, no bread, nothing. On top of that, one of the combos came with white meat I didn’t choose, and only two tiny slices at that.
I paid over $50, and what I got was basically an incomplete, careless order. The quality, accuracy, and attention to detail were terrible. Extremely disappointing experience, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend ordering from this location.

This location needs to implement a new rule of not closing the drive thru window until the customer has confirmed everything they asked for is in the bag because they WILL forget something 100% of the time and then they close the window and completely ignore you so you have to go inside anyways defeating the whole reason for ordering in the drive thru. All of this to say stop forgetting my ranch EVERY-TIME I order and I’ll be a happy camper or at least if you see someone still sitting there 10 minutes getting their food maybe ask if there is a reason they are still there.

My boyfriend and I visited Sonny’s BBQ on a Sunday night, hoping to enjoy some breaded okra, which is a personal favorite. The restaurant was pretty quiet and almost empty, which made for a peaceful atmosphere. Overall, everything was just okay. Our server was polite and did their job, but they didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic about providing service. It was an alright experience, but nothing really stood out.

Tonight we had a great experience in the drive thru (even though I do think there is something that can be done for wait times) the food was fresh even though I arrived 45mins before they closed. The best part was the to go girl Gracie! I don’t think I’ve ever received such great customer service from Sonnys! She was just a delight! Hopefully you give her all the hours she wants and a raise while you are at it! She should be the poster child for how your company should operate and treat your customers!

I’ve been eating Texas barbecue for more than 40 years. Where I come from it’s truly a labor of love. We talk pits, rubs (salt and pepper seasoning), wood used to smoke the meats, then there’s the meat.
My first notice of this location was the lack of talking and love.
The gentleman manning the pit had the barbecue spirit and love.
The meats were a decent introduction to barbecue, especially in a state that’s mostly known for seafood. However, I was missing the warmth and care that you get from the cashier/wait staff.
The mac and cheese was solid, and we really enjoyed the ribs the most. The sliced pork was interesting, and the chicken was incredibly juicy. The brisket, however, could have used a little more seasoning.
The sauces were tasty, and I loved how they were perfectly packaged. I did miss the pickles and onions that always accompanies barbecue in Texas. It was a nice touch to have cornbread instead of the usual plain bread we get back home.
A little pro-tip for the young female staff—try to act like you enjoy your job. It makes a difference to your customers!
On a positive note, we were happy to see they had plenty of parking in the back for oversized vehicles.

My experience was fantastic! I have visited multiple times in one week and the staff has been perfectly attentive and friendly! The environment was very welcoming and the food was great! I ordered the Carolina Sandwich and it was delicious both times! Also, my food came out quick both times!

Ordered a 1 lb rib, cornbread, side of Mac and cheese, a banana pudding, and loaded tots and when I t got here the cornbread, Mac and cheese, and banana pudding are there but the tots were not loaded, only had queso on top and the queso leaked out and spilled all over the bag and on top of the containers of the other items and my 1 lb rib was instead replaced with a chicken but when I opened it up the chick was bright pink RAW!
