I normally don’t leave reviews, especially when the food is good, but this really bothered me. I went to this restaurant recently and everything tasted great — no complaints there.
But when it came time to pay, my total was $41 and some change. I handed the cashier a $50 bill. They gave me back $5 and some change, and I didn’t think much of it until I got outside and realized something was off.
They didn’t give me the full amount of change I should’ve gotten back. I know mistakes can happen, but I shouldn’t have to double-check something that should be done correctly in the first place. It’s frustrating because I trusted them to return the right amount.
Good food, but after this experience, I’m honestly upset and not sure I’ll be returning. Mistakes with money are a big deal, especially when I’m the one losing out.

I really feel bad having to get on here and leave this review but after many years of coming here and being from Wapato I had a bad experience today ordered and sat down waited 15 minutes usually for menudo they bring out tortillas and ingredients right away this time we didn’t. 3 more ppl walk in, I noticed the kid that helped us sat down to eat and didn’t even check on tables. When he was done he took ingredients to the 3 guys that had just walked in and I brought it to his attention that we had ordered before them and he just was like oh and it looked he forgot about us, then next here comes the other worker with 2 menudos for the 3 guys that just walked in and I asked her are those for us because we ordered first and she was freaked out not in a bad way because i was letting her know we ordered first it wasn’t her fault but I do feel the kid needs to work on his costumer service. I my self attend costumers and it is very important that you attend your costumers right and not forget about them.This really great place but it’s going to be awhile before I come in again I never had this kind of experience with them they are always on their A Game but today was not. The kid failed we ended up at Paloma’s in Toppenish and I just sat down 5 minutes ago and I have a plate of menudo right in front of me and it’s packed.For the cookes at San Juan I know you guys were busy but kid need to be talked to Thank you for many years of attending me I’m sure I’ll be back but just not for awhile

Loved this place ! The food was perfect … I haven’t have food this good since I left San Jose California. It was like going to your Mom’s and having all your favorites … It was just like home .

UPDATE!
Spent close to $50 on two simple Mexican dishes and 2 drinks to go. My complaint prices are not posted and continue to rise. $19.99 for a dish is a little absurd! I will probably stay clear from this place do to price!! Noa Noa is down the street can serve a family of 5 to 6 with drinks and all for $50!

Menudo with homemade tortilla and the Chile verde with rice and beans are my favorites here.. We come and eat at least once a week.. The only down side are the slowly rising prices for these simple Mexican dishes.

The food was delicious and fresh people! Small chicken soup was loaded with vegetables and plenty of chicken. Mole was Fabulous!! VERY CLEAN! Well worth the drive from Yakima!

The food is delicious. I definitely recommend trying this place out. The service is good. The guy who takes orders is always friendly and helpful but the lady who brings out the food doesn’t speak English so it’s hard to ask for anything. It’s very clean. The prices are high. The food doesn’t take too long to come out so it’s a great stop for lunch.
