Small place. Small menu. Yet the food taste good. I ordered fired pigeons often since they have it on special for $9.99. clay pot rice is good.

Came to try this new restaurant after seeing it posted on Instagram. It’s located in Hong Kong Plaza with plenty of parking. We ordered the preserved meats hot pot rice, chicken wings, and Wonton Noodle soup to try things out. The rice was cooked in a metal pot and had some crispy rice at the end. The preserved meat portion was on the smaller side but the rice was tasty with the soy sauce. Chicken wings was delicious and would recommend. The worst dish we had was the wonton Noodle soup. The noodles were soft, broth was very light in flavor, and wontons lacked flavor. Avoid the wonton Noodle soup. The menu is small and not too much variety. Small dining room so not good for large groups.

I used to be a loyal customer of Baobao, having eaten there almost monthly for the past two years, and three times a week on my favorite days. The waitress I used to serve was really nice and welcoming, even helping to mix the clay pot rice. Today, I drove all the way from K-town to eat here, and the staff were truly terrible. The clay pot rice wasn’t mixed, and the bill came to over $70, but they wouldn’t let me pay with two cards. Last time, my friend and I were able to split the bill. I didn’t want to tip, but considering we’ve been eating here for over two years and the food is truly good, I’ll give it a $5 tip. I’m really sad to give a one-star review for the service.
Update: I’m thinking about the watermelon the waitress always gave me when I went there last month, and I can’t bear to give it one star. So, I’ll change it back to four stars. It’s really the good experiences I’ve had that saved me from this bad experience.

I’m giving this a bad review. Today, I happily took my parents to a restaurant for a delicious meal. When it was time to pay, I had already given the cashier my card, and she took it to the counter. Later, my dad also went to the counter to pay in cash, and the cashier immediately took his money. I was standing not far from the counter and reminded the cashier not to take my dad’s money. It seems like she can’t resist taking cash. I was furious. What was she doing taking my card? I won’t be eating there again. It was really disappointing. If she wanted to take money, she should have asked me first.

We ate at countless restaurants nearby, and this was the worst. The three of us ordered the cheapest chicken rice, waited almost an hour, and all the meat and vegetables that came were bones, plus a tiny portion.
