We had a truly wonderful dining experience at this Mexican restaurant. The vibrant atmosphere immediately made us feel welcome. Every dish we ordered was a delicious masterpiece, prepared with care and fresh ingredients. The service was exceptionally attentive and friendly throughout our meal. First off I absolutely LOVE Chuys! I would go to the one in San Antonio and would look forward to it but now I am over the moon that my city has a Chuys of their own! ❤️ . I have been to Chuys a lot since they opened. Dining in I have always received Great service every single time! All of the staff has been amazing! The only issue I’ve had (that was fixed very quickly the last time it happened) was curbside pick up. Small issue of just getting my order wrong on one side but the manager made it right and was willing to speak with me and listen! Which I knew they would. It is so awesome to have a restaurant who is willing to grow and always looking to improve! Marcella was wonderful and I know Chuys is in great hands with her! She had told me to ask for her the next time I was in but I forgot but she came to me to meet me and make sure everything was great which it was! She was so sweet listening to the past issue. It was my friends first time trying Chuys and she loved it! Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers! The food is always delicious! My favorite is the Deluxe chicken topped with Deluxe tomatia sauce and double rice. The green Chile rice is my favorite! My next favorite is the appetizer plate I love the many options it comes with! My fiance loves the Deluxe chuychanga! Even the chicken strips are amazing! I love that the root beer comes in a bottle The Best! The shrimp tacos are Amazing!!!! The chicken torilla soup was so delicious! The Guacamole is good but could use some garlic salt and then itll be amazing! The frozen strawberry/lime swirl is delicious and my favorite! The prices are awesome never change!

Chuy’s in Abilene never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comes out fast. The chips and creamy jalapeño dip alone are worth the visit. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps the vibe fun and welcoming every time we’re there. Whether it’s tacos, enchiladas, or a margarita on the patio, Chuy’s is a go-to spot for great Tex-Mex and a good time. Highly recommend!

Shawn was an amazing server! Very friendly and attentive. Our food was brought out by Kevin the manager. He was very nice as well and working very hard to take care of us customers. And Bry was the hostess that greeted us upon arrival. She was friendly and welcomed us with a smile. All 3 deserve major kudos. Our wait was under 1 hour on a Friday night at 5 and our food was soooo good! Remember y’all, these servers, managers, and hostesses are people too. Give them a break! They are doing their very best! Keep up the great work you guys! Y’all are doing awesome!! We will definitely be back 🙂

The restaurant is very clean very nice. The people are very friendly very helpful, but the food was greasy. The beans did not taste well my friend had a beef fajita salad. It was a good size and lots of beef. The fajitas tasted good, but she didn’t care for the salad portion of it. (Photos are after we’ve been eating).

As longtime Chuy’s fans from Austin, we were beyond excited to try the new Abilene location—and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt just like the original, and the team here is clearly doing things the right way.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. We started with queso (creamy and addictive), then split the Chuychanga and steak enchiladas—both cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. Our friend ordered the flautas, and they disappeared just as quickly. Everything tasted fresh, nostalgic, and exactly like the Chuy’s we grew up with in South Texas.
The drinks were equally impressive. Shelby, the bartender, made margaritas with the perfect ratio—balanced, refreshing, and dangerously good. Our server Callie was incredible as well: warm, attentive, and on point the entire night. Between the food, the drinks, and the service, the whole experience felt seamless.
It’s rare that a new location captures the heart of an iconic brand, but Chuy’s Abilene nailed it. This isn’t just a Tex-Mex spot—it’s the real deal, the kind of place that makes you want to bring all your friends and family. We left smiling, full, and so glad to know Abilene has a strong Tex-Mex joint that does the original proud.

I’ve been so excited to try Chuy’s since I first saw it was coming to Abilene! We sat at the bar top and of course it was slammed, the bartenders were fast and very friendly. I had two raspberry margaritas and they were great as well, definitely will come back when the town has had a chance to adjust to a new a restaurant

I order tacos al carbon & it was terrible. The meat fat/membrane isnt trimmed & not sliced against the grain so it’s tough. The rice was cold and had no flavor. The beans taste like can. Tacos came with 3 sliced fajitas each. Food is low quality, tasteless and overpriced. The only thing I ate was the diced tomates, shredded cheese, and a teaspoon of guacamole. Chips and sauce were good as well as the tea. I don’t recommend this restaurant.
