Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I’ve read some of the comments and the ones that have 4 or 5 stars are ACCURATE. I went and my service absolutely wonderful. From the food to the hospitality. One girl in particular named JAMIA was absolutely great. She asked what kind of ketchup I wanted and how many. Everytime I go, she never forgets to ask the little questions that make the service wonderful. I am a consistent regular because of this bright young woman. She deserves to be recognized!!

It’s fast food, but it’s good fast food. Always consistent, always tasty, always open. It’s a great late-night option, and they serve delicious breakfast food 11 pm to 11 am. Plenty of menu choices, so there’s something for everyone.

Whataburger is known for the best burgers in Texas! But this review is for an employee that stands out. Donovan took my order outside in the cold weather with a smile and joyful personality. He was personable and took my order quickly and repeated it to ensure it was correct. I was quickly greeted by Ben with a smile and pleasantries as he brought me my food. I highly recommend this location for their exemplary employees!

Stopped in for a quick snack. I got a sausage biscuit and hash browns. It was quite good and reasonably priced. They do a great job on these items. Iced tea was quite good as well, the real stuff. Many of us in TX really like Whataburger.

This is the casino of Whataburgers. I don’t think I’ve ever gone here and gotten what I requested. I’ve been given deconstructed burgers when I ordered a #4, 4 breakfast taquitos when I ordered 2 and a side of hashbrowns. At this point, order something cheap and pray that you get something you like. All the food is great though.

I’m usually not one to complain but it’s been relatively frequent when I come to this location, one person has stood out to be not very friendly. A shorter girl named Jamia was working the front counter and waited to take my order even though she saw I was ready. We made eye contact and she still turned around and ignored me. During the order she was very rude and seemed annoyed to take my order and even forgot to ask me if I wanted ketchup. When I said thank you she didn’t reply with anything but had an attitude the entire time. Once the food came out, it was hot and fresh but there wasn’t ketchup so I asked a young man named Colton if he can grab me some and he was very polite and asked me what kind and how many. Overall food was really good, service was mixed with Colton being very helpful and kind while Jamia was very rude.

I’ve grabbed their grilled cheese before (which I love!), but this was my first time dining in and having a burger. Let me tell you—it felt like an old-school diner experience!
✅ They still use trays—a small but nostalgic touch!
✅ Friendly staff you can actually talk to—no cold kiosk ordering like other places.
✅ Customer service that makes you feel welcome—not just rushed through a drive-thru.
It was worth every penny, and I didn’t care that it wasn’t some $1 menu deal—because the quality is unmatched.
The Star of the Show: The Moderate Melt
The flavor? Unbelievable. The only thing that could make it better? Add bacon! But even without it, the juiciness, the melted cheese, the perfectly grilled onions—10/10!
And let’s talk about those onion rings! Crispy, flavorful, and the perfect side to this burger masterpiece.

I ordered food for pickup and went out to my car for it to not start! So I had to call up there to cancel my order and they let me know that they could hold my order until the next day if I needed so I could still get it. And then this amazing guy offered to bring me my food since I was right down the street! How awesome is that? Thank you so much for bringing me my food and I will definitely be ordered from this location from now on!

My wife and I had chicken strips with fries and extra gravy. Not sure if our taste buds were off but the chicken was OK but not as tasty as it used to be many months ago. Gravy always good. Sweet tea very good as well.

Donavan is AMAZING!!! I grandson and granddaughter refuse to at any other whataburger! When I ask what they want for dinner on Fridays their response is they wanna go see Donavan! We pass at least 4 whataburger’s that we pass on the way back from Cleveland to Houston, but it has to be this whataburger! Donavan is an awesome guy! Great service!!!
