We walked in, the hostess’ friendly greeting was mediocore at best. Our server came over and basically sat on the table next to us. After we placed our order, that was the last our server was seen. The food was delicious, maybe a bit overpriced, but with the atmosphere…it would be a fun place to hang out with a group of people. We did have to approach the hostess for a check and to-go boxes. Young guy with earrings and slightly longer hair, you rocked! Would recommend, maybe just dont go for the hospitality.

We used to go to Taegukgi all the time when we used to live in San Diego, Unfortunately, that location closed and we just moved out to Arizona about eight months ago. We live about an hour away from this location, but we’re so excited to see it! It’s always worth the drive and the food is absolutely amazing. This is top-tier Korean barbecue. It’s our favorite spot! Even our one-year-old loves it!

I love Korean BBQ, but this isn’t gonna be my spot. They way they run their system makes it a bad value, especially if you have more than 2 people per table. They have a limit of how many items you can order at a time, but it’s per table instead of based in how many people are eating. We had very large group and the meat minimums added up to about 3 bites per person per round. The veggie portions were even more meager. The staff took forever to come back to place an order for more meat. We paid a huge amount of money of most people to get only a couple bites of meat after it’s all said and done. If there had only been 2 people at the table, no problem, we would have had plenty. But, the system doesn’t work for large groups. We left and got a pizza. Won’t be back. Additionally, online reviews and menus show a lunch menu with a lower price…there is no such lunch lunch menu at this time.

UPDATE JANUARY 14 – My mom called because she was charged for an extra person on her bill and the employee said she would be transferred to the manager. The person she spoke to on the phone when transferred said oh no I can’t help you with that, let me get your information and we’ll have the manager call you back when he is in. She has not been called back yet. She has tried calling again and the manager is still not available to provide her refund.

On January 1, 2026 my family came here to celebrate the new year and having family in town. We were looking forward to a nice and fun dining experience and that is not at all what we received. First of all, the floors in this restaurant are unbelievably slippery. Add on to that the rain outside it was extremely dangerous trying to navigate through the restaurant and there were not caution or warning signs anywhere. You just walk in with soaking wet shoes onto their slippery floor. Next, both restrooms were disgusting. The women’s restroom was mostly out of toilet paper except for one stall, every single toilet had urine in and around it. The men’s restroom was no better with the urinals being out of order and water leaking from somewhere all over the still slippery floor.

Now you may be thinking well you can look past those things because the food and drinks were good right? Wrong. They were out of all Asian beers, white wine, juice, and a couple other beers. They were also out of several items on the menu. There was no heads up or notice that they were out of these until you tried to order. Imagine ordering off of the premium menu and then finding out a chunk of those items weren’t available and you still had to pay the premium price.

If you thought the cleanliness issue was done you better think again. One of the vents above one of grills started dripping black gunk on the grill as food was cooking. When brought to the attention of the staff they just said it was grease from the vents and fine. Attached you will see a photo of the black “grease” that was falling onto our food. I don’t know any restaurant that would say that was acceptable levels of food service.

Lastly, you get 2 hours maximum at this restaurant to eat. That timing was fine because by an hour and 20 minutes in we had all ordered our last round and told the server that was it. We then proceeded to sit around visiting and waiting for the check. About 30 minutes later the server returns with our checks and has them split wrong and is having to ask questions and re ring them up and return multiple times. While waiting the manager comes by and tells us our 2 hours is up and we need to leave because she needs to seat our table. Does she help the server figure out the checks so we can pay and leave? No. She let’s the server scramble around (on the slippery floor) and struggle with the checks while she harasses us to leave as if we hadn’t been waiting for over 30 minutes for the check.

It is clear that the management of this restaurant needs some real work done because no restaurant charging what they charge so have restrooms that disgusting, floors that dangerous, be out of half the menu items and let their staff struggle in distress.

I cannot believe we paid that much money for that experience. Do not go here. Find a different Korean BBQ restaurant with better standards.

Awesome first-time experience. Didn’t know what to expect, but our server was friendly and helpful. Selected food items were excellent. We esp. liked the bulgogi, chicken, and octopus proteins and the extras were all very good, esp. the potato salad. Fun experience. Good drinks too. We’ll be back.

Great Korean BBQ! Staff is always incredibly friendly. The menu and experience looks daunting at first, but I promise it’s simple and the staff do a great job of making sure you understand and well taken care of! I do end up spending $100+ here for 2 people, half that if it’s just 1 person of course but definitely more fun with a friend, so be sure you’ve got some spending cash~

Great spot for authentic tasting Korean BBQ. The only thing I can knock is that it is always, and I mean always out of something (if not a lot of somethings) on the menu. Still, the service is usually fantastic and everything is fresh and tasty.

I went here on my birthday and green sludge fell out of the vent into our food. They replaced the plate and then even more fell onto it before they decided to move us. I got sick afterwards. DO NOT EAT HERE.

hello !! i just left the restaurant and wow !! the people there are so kind and the food was spectacular. had all kinds of beef and pork alongside the variety of sides (me and my group had the regular option for the all you can eat). food came out fast and we were quick to order more. we got there near the end of close and they were very kind nonetheless, very accommodating as well. our server was so sweet, and the manager working was very nice as well !! all the staff i interacted with was very kind. we will be back, and even though i was disappointed about the lack of tteokbokki, the experience easily made up for it and i can’t wait to come back (earlier of course) !!
