Was there for last Saturday’s 80s music video dance party. We had a terrific time, great selection of music. I really like how the dance floor is separated from the tables. The place has a great vibe and everyone was having a good time. This was my first visit to Sister bar but I will definitely keep an eye out for future events. $10 cover was more than fair and as someone who isn’t great with late nights, I love that it started at 7pm

It’s a neat funky bar with very acceptable tacos.
It’s like a dive bar, but clean and chill.
And thanks to that bartender that plays Eagles of Death Metal, and all the workers there. Probably a good work culture, you can tell.

Very nice entertainment amd bar downtown Albuquerque pinball machines and music. Very good food reasonable price. Expect plenty of crowd mixed younger and older , gets a bit warm in there but what you expect from popular place . It’s a must see and a night to remember.

Very cool place staff were really great.
Ordered hamburger that came with fries and a beer or root beer for 11.00 dollars.
Opted for the root beer . Was really happy with it.

I’ve enjoyed Sister Bar for its music and atmosphere. It’s always been a lively and fun downtown spot.
However, I need to share a serious safety concern from my visit on February 21st. Shortly after consuming a 2nd drink, I experienced a sudden and extreme reaction that was not consistent with what I had been drinking. I lost memory quickly, became very ill, and was sick well into the next day. The symptoms were alarming and unlike any typical overconsumption experience.
I cannot state exactly what occurred, but the situation felt significant enough that I believe it’s important to raise awareness. Women, please watch your drinks closely, stay with trusted friends, and trust your instincts if something feels off.
I am sharing this respectfully and in the spirit of safety, not blame. I truly hope Sister Bar continues to prioritize a safe environment for all guests.

Sister is such a stellar venue! I’m so grateful for all of the live music that has been brought through Albuquerque thanks to this place. I believe this bar has something for everyone: incredible drinks, tasteful music, excellent food, pinball for the gamers, immersive art, a welcoming dance floor, lively community, and even movie rentals on Tuesday/Thursday (shoutout CinemaSoup). This is the first bar I recommend to folks from out of town.

apparently by state law, we had to show physical ID in order to get in. They did not accept a digital one. so heads-up before you go. luckily our hotel was very close so we got our id’s and returned (we were supposed to meet friends that were already there).
it took about 20 min to the bartender to take our order. the place itself is nice, good atmosphere, kind people.
you need 4 quarters (1$) to have 3 balls to play, so keep a change with u.

Full disclosure, we didn’t eat, we did however have drinks and explore the property… if you enjoy eclectic locations you will LOVE, Sister! With 10+ pinball machines, an old photo booth and various other old timey vending machines this place has a “shot back in time” feel. While at the same time it’s cozy and relaxing, smooth jazz plays over the sound system too. The bartender really knows his stuff, a lil snarky but in a fun way. All in all if you are looking for a truly unique place to grab a drink, learn some history and kick back Sister bar is the place for you. Oh and they have live music in the back in the evenings!!

Stay safe out there, ladies. If I were to bet money, I would say my woman’s drink was roofied last night at the Sister Bar in downtown Albuquerque. It was 80s night and some of the individuals seem to be pretty shady. I got two new drinks and asked my date to watch them as I went to the restroom, when I returned some guy (white turtleneck) had distracted her and was talking to her away from the drinks. I asked may date about the drinks and we walked over and mine was missing and only hers remained. She said two guys were trying to chat with her, distracting her. We soon left and she doesn’t have any memories from that point on. I could tell something was wrong. She had a lot of symptoms that match my ChatGPT research of roofied symptoms. She’s been in bed all day recovering. The man in the white turtleneck was seen grinding and groping a number of ladies. Also.. there was a young couple (two guys) who were aggressively making out on the dance floor with hands down the back of each other’s pants.. digging in. Normally we have a good experience at this location… better security needed.
