We had the crab cakes which were massive and delicious highly recommend! My a husband had the fried shrimp they were good but the side he chose garlic rice there was a HUGE puddle of butter at the bottom of the dish which was not very appetizing. I had the snow snack pack which was good but again the butter the food was swimming in the actual butter wasn’t the best tasking but the crab and shrimp were delicious

While on Business/Vacation trip on our last night we got to finally try some seafood. On a Tuesday evening around 5pm so not too busy. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the ocean breeze and lite music in the background. Service was amazing and quick, a very enjoyable evening.

The view of the river, with its islands and sand bars, was absolutely beautiful. I was a little disappointed that blue crab, which is kind of their signature, was out of season. Also, the restrooms really need to be remodeled — I feel like restrooms are a great opportunity to add character and leave a good impression.
That said, the food completely blew me away.
We ordered fried snow crab as an appetizer — it was really good. For entrees, we had a fried grouper sandwich with fries and a Dungeness crab boil. Everything was incredible! 10 out or 10

Food was pretty good. Had the fried oysters amongst other things, we had to be careful of shell pieces. Everything else was good. View is great.

6Oct2025 – After a week of rains, overcasts and high winds, today was sunny; we celebrated by driving up the coast to the Crab Stop, one of our favorite restaurants in Sebastian. I once again had the Caribbean Seafood Rice; my wife had the clam chowder and crab fritters. As always, the food was great. Even better was the laid back ambience of the restaurant and the great views of the inland waterway. So glad we went back there.
23Nov2024 – another great meal at the Crab Stop. Our waiter this time was Clifford, and he was a hoot. Very friendly, easy to talk to with a dry sense of humor. I had the Caribbean seafood rice and it was excellent. Great flavors. Nice and warm. A great meal. Once again, my wife had the New England clam chowder and it was exceptional. She continues to rave about it. All in all, an outstanding meal with excellent views of the water.
17Nov2024 – My wife and I come down to the Vero Beach area a couple times a year. We really enjoy the restaurants up in Sebastian. One of our favorite restaurants up there is the Crab Stop. The food is excellent. The blackened mahi sandwich was exceptional. Also, their New England clam chowder was as good as what we’ve had at Legal Seafood up in Boston. That in and of itself is a great compliment. The staff is very friendly, professional, and fun to talk to. Phil was our waiter (bartender too) and he was great. One of the reasons we like this restaurant so much is because of the water views. Every seat in the restaurant is excellent. The water views are spectacular. Along with the great tasting food, what a treat.!

The conch fritters were huge and awesome. I got the scallops entree with shrimp, potatoes, sausage and an egg. It was so huge it could have fed 3! Food came
out quick, was hot and flavorful. Huge portions of scallops. Husband had the same thing but they left out the sausage and egg. He had to ask for them. Overall it had a great view of the river. I would definitely go back.

We were craving seafood and went here to try all of the seafood appetizers. They were out of all of them except calamari, even though the place was less than half full at 6:30 on a Friday. We ordered the calamari and chicken wings. The calamari was chewy (the waitress confirmed it was frozen). I went with two stars because the wings were good. I didn’t go to a place called “Crab Stop” for chicken wings though.

This place was phenomenal and really enjoyed dining their. We had to Wait about thirty minutes but it was definitely worth the wait. The only reason why I would give it a 4 star is because the bathrooms was extremely dirty and there were no toilet papers not sink dryer paper towels. Other than that, the food was delicious and the service was also great.
