The view at Sara J’s is absolutely beautiful, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was lively, though it did get quite loud during our visit. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my dinner. I ordered the baked flounder with the chef’s choice of stuffing, and it just wasn’t to my taste. My boyfriend ordered the same dish and ended up returning it. The coleslaw and margarita, however, were both very good and were the highlights of the meal for me. Overall, it was a mixed experience with great service and scenery, but the main course fell short for us.

We enjoyed a terrific dinner at Sara J’s. If you are looking for a nice, quiet dining experience, this place is not for you. It was loud and crowded but fun. Everyone was in good spirits. It seemed like this is a place that welcomes locals and visitors alike. Service was top notch, food was delicious (best cole slaw I have eaten in a long time), atmosphere is loud and friendly. Great view. We would definitely come back next visit to MB.

Service was great but the food was just okay. Only thing hot was the hush puppies, but they didn’t have any flavor. The fish, oysters, shrimp, and fries were all served at room temperature and could use more seasoning.

Walked down for dinner during our vacation in Garden City. Gianna was our waitress and she was amazing! She helped with recommendations and was very friendly and did her job very well. Food was good, arrived promptly and portions were plenty. We got to sit on the back deck along the water and watched the fishermen catch shrimp.

Great place to eat. Service was wonderful. Great people and very friendly. The seafood was great. My husband had the Sea Bass and I had the Grouper. These were on the Catch of the Day menu. We both ordered them blackened. Very tasty. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics of the main dishes. But trust me when I say it was great.

We had shrimp cocktail and fried shrimp basket and side salads. The pile of shrimp for the shrimp cocktail and the dozen good sized shrimp in the fried basket were shockingly generous! The light batter on the fried shrimp was delicious and really allowed the shrimp to be the star! Very well done. It was very chilly in the restaurant this evening though. Great service, attentive and friendly! And the hush puppies are divine with honey butter. They bring them to the table like chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant ❤️

We always enjoy Sara J’s. We eat there every time that we visit my younger son in Socastee.
It’s NOT cheap, but you get what you pay for. We go there as our treat.
