The only downside was that since we were a large group and arrived toward the end of the evening, we felt a bit rushed by the staff. It would’ve been nice to enjoy the meal at a more relaxed pace. Still, the quality of the food made up for it. Would definitely go back, just maybe a bit earlier next time!
Our server was polite and professional.
The space is well designed, but it’s unkempt. All the pictures are askew, and dust had built up on corners the little places, like the chair rail. Could use a deep clean, but everything important is clean.
When he came back with the rest of the food, I asked again. His response — “I know, later, I’m running some food” — came across with a very poor attitude, as if he didn’t care about the request. The spicy sauce still didn’t arrive after that.
Later, we noticed another staff member standing by the bar checking his phone, so we asked him for spicy sauce. He told another server to bring it, but she didn’t get it right away either — she first poured some water and only then brought the sauce. We thanked her, but she didn’t say anything and walked away.
Overall, the food was fine, but the service felt inattentive and dismissive, which made our lunch experience disappointing.
Our food was delicious, EXCEPT for the spring rolls. They were completely bland unless you dipped them in the sauce. There was hardly any filling and the bread didn’t taste like anything. NOT worth the price ($10). Everything else was great! The pineapple fried rice is my go to, and my mom loved the pumpkin curry (it’s got some spice to it!)
But without question, the worst part is the service. The last two times our waiters were unfriendly, bordering on rude. The only person who possessed any kind of energy was the guy who brough the food from the kitchen (one of the orders was incorrect). One member of our group ordered tea. When it didn’t show, I asked and was told “oh yeah, we sold out of that”. Like the waiter couldn’t be bothered. If your staff seem bored and unhappy it’s time to look for some fresh talent, or more likely, take a look a management.
