Island Grill is a favorite local bar and grill located in Midtown Fort Collins in Scotch Pines Village Center. We are celebrating 20 years of being in business. Our menu is full of delicious homemade items to suit anyone’s hunger needs. We have been voted best fish tacos, burgers and fish & chips in town. Our happy hour is second to none and offers $1 off house wines, draft beers and well drinks every day from 3 – 6 pm. Entertainment is a special part of what we do here with something going on every day. Wednesday nights with feature Live Jazz Jam hosted by local musician Steve Johnson. Always a fun place to take the family! They have games for the kids, my picky eaters even have a few things they enjoy. Something for everyone on the menu! Considering the cost of going out to eat as a family, I would suggest going on Sunday, kids eat free and wings are only 75 cents!

We came by for a quick lunch and they had just opened, there was only one server that had opened a little early. She was slammed for an unexpected lunch crowd and we were worried that it was going to take a long time. We could not be more wrong. Tansy was our server and she handled the crowd like a pro! She took on 6 tables all at once and never missed a beat! Great food and quick service!

I’ve been to Island Grill a bunch of times, and this was probably my least favorite. Their fish and chips used to be awesome, but for some reason, they changed how they make them, and it tasted like a frozen fish stick. They definitely don’t deserve to be considered one of the best in Fort Collins anymore. My waitress was super nice and did a great job, but the floor under our booth was gross and looked like it hadn’t been mopped in weeks. You could also hear the kitchen staff yelling at each other and sounding irritated for some reason. I’m not sure if I’ll be going back to Island Grill anytime soon.

The menu was enticing with a wide variety of options, and they even had a special where kids could eat for free on Sundays. Our waiter, Jason, was friendly and attentive. I decided to try the Chille Rellanos Camarones. The food arrived promptly, and the Chille Rellanos was indeed delicious. However, the portion size was incredibly small, making it feel like a steal compared to other restaurants in town.
The rice and beans were another disappointment. They were not fresh and served room temperature. The rice was particularly disappointing; it was extremely undercooked. I mentioned this to our waiter, and he brought me another portion of the same rice. Frustrated, I eventually asked for the check and informed him that the rice was still undercooked. He then went to the manager, who decided to deduct 20% from my meal.
This was a major letdown. Most restaurants that prioritize customer satisfaction would not charge for a meal that was clearly not up to par or would take more steps to accommodate the customer. The manager even failed to stop by and apologize for the poor quality of the food. It was a very disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. It’s understandable why it wasn’t very busy.

We have never been disappointed here! They have an insanely large menu with lots of diff kinds of plates. You can choose Italian, Latin style, there’s a few oriental dishes. Really great staff too. Our waitress last night was very sweet and genuine! Thank you island grill you’re one of our top favorite date night spots!

I’ve been to this restaurant many times and the food is always excellent, but today was different. I ordered the breakfast burrito. As a huge fan of burritos, The burrito was absolutely OUTSTANDING. The egg, bacon, and potato ratio was on point and perfectly cooked. Every bite had the proper combination of flavors. Half way through the burrito I looked at my son and told him I how excited I was about coming back next week.Service was also spot on, but the burrito was truly the star of the day. Thank you so much for an amazing meal Chef Hanna and team!

This is a fun local spot where people in the neighborhood go to hang out. We were there for an after workout event by neighboring business Studio Q. Our server Katie was excellent. She handled about 16-20 of us at one time and did a great job. The price is very reasonable and the portions were good. My Chicken Garden Wrap was large and delicious. My husband said his burger was cooked a little more well than he liked it but it was still good. The sweet potato fries were good but could have had a few more. Our 10 year old grandson said the Mac & Cheese was not good and couldn’t eat it. The island decor is fun. Overall it was pretty good for the price.

So – this time I got the surfer dude and it was better than the original burger I had here. It seems like the quality has improved!!! Great vibes and it was so cool to reconnect with DaniLynn and the great crew at the Island Bar
I recommend this place to anyone who wants family friendly, great atmosphere, top notch artwork and atmosphere, excellent food and excellent service.

This place was amazing!!! Themed out with some amazing artwork. Even the bathrooms were beautiful. I felt transported to an island. The food was top notch. I had a burger with a pineapple (I forget the name). It was juicy and cooked perfectly. The French fries were the best I’ve tasted, and I’ve had a LOT! My wife had the fish and chips and she raved at how it was certainly the “best in the state”. I’m posting a bunch of pictures.
DaniLynn was an excellent server. We were in a time crunch and she accommodated by having the food out quickly and the check ready to pay immediately.
I recommend this place to anyone and their kids. The only thing I could say to improve would be to add a better dark beer to the tap selection. I did enjoy the Blue Moon that I ordered, but personally I like the dark beers.
Still a 5 star experience and we will return!!

We arrived to be told that food orders would be at be delayed at least 30 minutes. We should have walked out at that point but unfortunately we remained hopeful. We ordered the Big Burrito, a burger, and the fish and chips. It took a very long time for the food to come out. In fact some other customers left due to the lack of service. Most of our food arrived cold. I say most as the burger never arrived. It was very disappointing experience.
