Got a carry out order for lunch today Orange Roughy, French Fries and Hushpuppies. There is no in-store dining. Service was good and food was cooked to order and served piping hot. Took about 10 minutes to get the order.

Whenever I come to Kansas City, Kansas, I always get the buffalo fish with okra. It was delicious. It was fresh. My fish was fried hard just like I like it.
Unfortunately, I only got three pieces of ribbed fish and it’s just so expensive so I will not be going back there because it’s just so expensive and you only get a minimal amount of food.

I had the Catfish strips and fried shrimp. It was excellent and can’t wait to go there again. On the down side the green beans were so bland almost inedible. Take out only and incredibly busy on Friday night.

We got the 1/2lb catfish meals which come with 2 sides. Everything was piping hot and fresh when it came out.
The breading on the catfish is light, crunchy, and seasoned to perfection. Not too salty, and not heavy on the fish at all.
Not a fan of the Mac and cheese. Tasted like box mac to me and was very plain. Everything else was delicious

Horrible customer service from the manager/ Owner. I have been eating from this location for years and have never had the experience that I had today. I placed a carryout order and received a text message about 5 to 7 minutes after placing the order that my food was ready. It usually takes me about 25 to 30 minutes to get to the location from where I’m located. After arriving to pick up my food, I asked if the food was fresh or if it had been sitting for a while. The lady instantly got angry and said that if my food was ready, and I wasn’t here to pick it up on time, then that’s my problem not theirs. I never even asked them to give me any food. I just wanted to know if it had been sitting for a while or if it was freshly made. Her response made me and my fiancé leave the restaurant and I will not be return there anymore. Customer service is so important in business and I don’t know if she was having a bad day or not, but she should not be taking it out on the customers that spend their money to keep this business running.
