The place is nice and clean BUT the prices is very tricky. I try to support my brown businesses but they try to find ways to rip you off. If I am getting an entree that requires gravy why charge for rice??? I bought an oxtails plate and was charged for 3 sides instead of the rice being added to oxtails. You can’t eat oxtails without rice. The DoorDash prices are very expensive than walking in to buy a plate. That should be illegal to scam people with the prices online than walking in. I ordered the Soulfood bowl today and the meat was cold. Please do better and find staff that knows what they’re doing. They always seem confused. Who made this peach cobbler ? It’s thick and full and mushy crust with four to five peaches. Please do better.

I stopped in for the first time today during my lunch and I was blown away. The location is beautiful and welcoming. I desperately wanted to try the oxtail but not for lunch, so i will definitely be back. Instead I had the Mikki’s bowl. With beef tips, greens, yams, and mac on a cornbread crust, it allowed me to taste a bit of everything. I was not disappointed. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu!

I ordered the Apricot chicken and it was horrible. The greens are not cooked thoroughly, the chicken I received a thigh and 1 chicken back, the sauce no flavor and the mashed potatoes had too much pepper. All in all the experience at this location with the food was not good at all

Went for lunch wasn’t please over paid for the 2 shrimp po and 2 sides for $30…and a lunch special $20 which came with a appetizer fish/baked chicken and sides.. when I was aware of the lunch special i asked to switch my order to the special… more for my money ♀️… the manager took forever to come talk to me to switch out… n it wasn’t that I wanted the difference in money but just to add the appetizer, fried pickles to compensate for the difference.. and I asked them to switch my po boy out for the fried fish..since they claim everything was made to order it that would make easier for them instead after waiting over 20 minutes to receive a baby po boy n I do mean baby 3 shrimp and a bunch of fries… that was fresh granted but that means they could made the change to my order…cuz I know it didn’t take that long and with my food being hot I know they just made it like 5 minutes prior to bringing it out… instead with an attitude said u couldn’t do anything about it and on the receipt said no refund but exchanges. This is one of my reasons I don’t like supporting black own because they’ll over charge u.. give bad/unprofessional customers service and never compensate for anything time money mishaps etc.. but want your support! This was my second time for another bad experience don’t get me started on my first time at this location …but I do like the new decor and I didn’t even want the sides anymore I’ll come back and let u know were they even worth it. (im not a meat eater so my options were limited too… thats why I chose seafood items.)

Service and food is always AMAZING!!! Walked in for beef tips/catfish and ended up getting curry chicken (only on Thursdays) & double chocolate cake. That meat fell right off the bone. Potatoes were cooked to tender perfection.

I picked up dinner from Mikki’s Soulfood Cafe, and let me tell you, this place knows how to do comfort food right! Even as a togo order, everything was hot, fresh, and packed with care. This Takeout Definitely Tastes Like Home!!
I had the meatloaf with candy yams, mac & cheese, and jalapeño cornbread and every bite was soul satisfying.
The meatloaf was tender and seasoned to perfection, the yams were sweet and sticky, and the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and soulfully delicious. The jalapeño cornbread added just the right amount of heat and flavor to round it all out.
To drink, I grabbed a large blueberry lemonade which was super refreshing and full of diabete lol flavor and I couldn’t leave without a slice of their strawberry (BIG BACK) cake. Moist, sweet, and absolutely divine.
Even though I took my food to go, the service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting with great R&B music and a welcoming vibe.
You can tell they care about the food and the experience, whether you’re dining in or carrying out.
If you’re craving this amazing soul food, Mikki’s is it.
Can’t wait to go back and try more! I LOVE IT HERE!!

I visited a friend recently and we ordered food from Mikki’s in Pearland. I was excited and really craving soul food. I ordered the smothered pork chops, yams and collard greens. The flavor of everything was delicious. The greens however had a ton of stems and so much FAT that was so gross to look at. There was so much fat it filled the empty yams container. I will not order delivery from here again. I’m 95% sure had I been in the restaurant my experience would have been different. Please do better on your delivery orders.

Everything was great. They give you a lot of food for the price, food flavored nicely not over seasoned. Senior discount 65 and older. My aunt took me there for my birthday lunch. We had meatloaf and oxtail plate.

Went there for a late lunch on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised. Food was very good and seasoned well. The shrimp and chicken Alfredo was delicious, but it was warm and needed to be heated up more. The cornbread muffins were the best I’ve ever had. The broccoli was very good as well; flavorful and not mushy. I will return to try more items. The service was very friendly, swift and professional. The restaurant had ample seating and clean. Highly recommend.
