Yechon Annandale is one of those places that quietly reminds you why classic Korean restaurants never go out of style. The setting is traditional and unpretentious, but the food is deeply comforting, wholesome, and consistently delicious.
The bibimbap comes out hot and sizzling, layered with well-seasoned vegetables and perfectly cooked rice. The grilled fish is simple, fresh, and done just right, and the seafood pancake is generous, crispy on the edges, and packed with flavor. The spread of banchan alone feels like a meal, everything tastes amazing and thoughtfully prepared.
Service is fast and efficient, and the food arrives quickly without feeling rushed. If you’re looking for authentic Korean food that’s hearty, reliable, and truly satisfying, Yechon absolutely delivers. A longtime favorite in Annandale for very good reason.

From all our Korean BBQ restaurant experiences in Northern Virginia, this is so far the best one Food was fantastic, service was perfect and super efficient and it was affordable (below $100) – This is a winner and a new family favorite we will come back. It’s also super kid friendly.

I recently visited Ye Chon in Annandale, VA and left disappointed. The sashimi wasn’t available that day, and although they gave me a $5 discount out of $79.99, it didn’t really improve the overall experience. The food was just so-so — the fish didn’t taste fresh or delicious, and for the price, it didn’t feel worth it.
I also came with the bulgogi, and it really missed the mark. It had a strangely strong flavor, almost like it was made with lower-quality meat, and the texture was very dry. The side dishes felt cheap and basic, which added to the overall underwhelming meal.
For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d return.

First time coming here and wow, this restaurant tastes very authentic. The portions are huge so definitely worth the price. Personally like all the side dishes that came with the meal and you can ask for refills as it is free. The servers are also very friendly and responsive if you need anything.

Me and my family went to this restaurant and they had been before and stared it was not the same. The waitress seemed to want to rush us, they gave 4 drinks for 5 people, they refused to give a side shrimp for a child, when it came time for my son in law to pay she brought the check and stood over him asked him to hurry and sign. That said, the food was great. There was a wide variety of options to choose from. We ordered several BBQ meats and vegetables — and almost everything was a hit. We also tried some stir-fried dishes like glass noodles and cabbage, which were quite decent.

The food was very good and all the servers were very nice and attentive!! They were really busy but we were able to be serviced really nicely still. The food was all good and came with plenty of side dishes and had a wide variety of menu items to choose from. Definitely good Korean spot to try! I highly recommend!

Had a reservation with a group of 8 at 6pm on Friday evening. Table was immediately available and the waitress was great. Food came out quickly and very fresh and hot. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Low quality food and service establishment. Not sure how this place has even 4 stars. Come here if you like rude waiters who with a lot of attitude.
Staff were so overbearing and controlling–not hospitable at all. Even though the restaurant had tons of open tables and no wait, servers kept pestering us to decide what we wanted to eat. When I asked for a cup of hot water as my drink they initially said “No, We don’t have that”– until I insisted. Then she obviously went back and told the other servers how I ordered “hot water” as if that was gossip worthy. They served it in a tiny paper cup. Cold water was served in a plastic water bottle. Not what you expect at a restaurant.
After our CC was ran, they pestered us to hurry up and sign even though–again, there were tons of empty tables, no wait, and nowhere near closing time.
Seafood did not look well sourced. Tiny shrimp. Other unknown/mystery species floating in the soup. I barely ate it. The staff misled me on the ingredients, telling my dish only contained octopus, squid, and shrimp. But what I received had clams and mystery bits of seafood. They even followed me into the bathroom after we had paid. Overall, no way.
