We popped in for a quick bite after knocking out some Christmas shopping, and everything hit just right
The fish and chips were some crispy cod with, believe it or not, Captain Crunch crust on the outside matched with seasoned fries. A fun unexpected twist i did not see coming
The cod fish tacos were bigger than your typical lunch tacos with plenty of flavor and definitely filling. The wedge salad with steak tips was larger than your usual salad but just a heads-up that the house-made seasoning packs a punch and can be a bit overpowering
Huge shoutout to Brandi who was awesome, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without missing a beat
Great food, great service, and exactly what we needed in the middle of a busy shopping day. Happy Holidays, we’ll definitely be back!

McKenzie River is such a gem. We look forward to going every Friday for happy hours. The bartenders Brian and Amber are the absolute best around. Some of my favorite foods are the French Onion Soup, Fish, The Grizzly Burger, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and The pizza is to die for… Also if you are a French Fry lover the best in the world are made here!!! I can’t leave the Moscow Mule out!!!! 10000/10 recommend

McKenzie River is one of my families favorite restaurants. We live about an hour away from this location, but when we have the chance, we love to come shop at the mall and stop here for a bite to eat. Although we’ve been multiple times, there is some consistency I have noticed with the lack of quality service at this location that I’d like to mention.
First, the last two times we have been here, we’ve asked for a high chair and were never given the high chair. I’ve actually had to walk back the hallway near the kitchen and get the highchair myself both times. We’ve had instances where the server didn’t give our table our drinks until after our food arrived. The last time we went over the weekend, we were never given napkins or silverware and had to ask for them once our food arrived. We were also given only 2 adult menus and 2 children menus when we had 3 adults and 2 children at our table.
When our food arrived, we did have some more issues: one of our adult meals was completely the wrong menu item and neither of our kids meals came with sides. It was just the entree. We didn’t mention the kids sides to the server because honestly they wouldn’t have eaten them anyway, but its just the fact that we didn’t get them that was a bit frustrating. When we mentioned the incorrect dish to our server, she immediately remembered the correct order and went back into the kitchen to get the right item. It took some time, but the correct order did eventually come out.
I know these are all small things, but when it consistently happens, I feel like it is a good learning moment for the restaurant.
Overall, the food always tastes great and quality/quantity of the food wis amazing as well. Honestly, the food is what keeps us coming back. If service matched the taste, this place would be unbeatable in my book.
I do want to point out, every server we’ve ever had has been incredibly nice and accommodating. It just feels like there is a lack of proper training when it comes to the duties and responsibilities of a server/hostess.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekend… Got a table immediately, not a big crowd. Lots of good looking options on the menu. We each ordered the chicken tortilla soup and decided to split the Cajun Chicken Penne. The soup was pretty decent. The pasta was greasier and spicier than we were wanting it to be. We only ate a little and had to call it quits. Would go back, but order something different. The pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked great. Attentive service and comfortable environment.

Have gone here twice now, and the first time was much better than the second. Food was out of this world the first time. the second time, it was just okay. Kelsey is a top-notch waitress. Pasta is decent. Bread is good. Chicken tortilla soup is thick and spicy, a different twist on it for sure. Their artichoke and spinach dip has basil/pesto in it, so it’s a bit sweet. Those blue tortilla chips are fire, though. Regular burgers and bison burgers are recommended. Their kids’ mac and cheese comes with goldfish in them, our 6yr old was not a happy camper about that. They only have rootbeer in bottles. All and all a decent place, worth trying at least once.

First time eating here. Great place and food. Met friends for lunch, not too busy for a Friday. Brooklyn was our server. Very friendly and nice. When the appetizer came out, Greek flatbread, she only brought out napkins, no plates. The entrees were good and you got a lot of food for the price. They serve local beers. About 12-15 large flat screen tvs to watch sports.
