Found this restaurant today through a google search. The people are friendly and the food taste good. My only complaint is I prefer my beans in a separate container. They put everything together. Since it was my first time ordering food from there, next time I’ll ask them to put my beans in a separate container. Apart from that I liked it and will be ordering from them again. I also liked the fact that their food has flavor, but not too salty. Try them. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious, immaculately clean and amazing service. We stopped in based on the great reviews and were welcomed with a smile. The pernil was not salty and flavorful. Beef stew and beans were on point – the price was also a great value. Jonathan was so kind and greeted his regulars with their first names. He truly takes pride in making his customers feel at home, we will definitely be back when we come up to Apple and pumpkin pick.

Not only was the food good the service made it even better. Everyone was nice and I liked how the owner came out (not only to us but others) and asked us how the food was and took his time to talk with us and even tell us the best and safest way to visit the city. You can tell he really cares. He has a barbershop and salon too in the plaza!

Authentic Dominican food! The food was delicious- everything was fresh with good flavor. The service is quick- with food already prepared. The owner came around and checked with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Very nice people. We also had the beef and cheese empanadas (forgot to take a picture) We would return!

Had lunch at El Dominicano today during a volleyball tournament at John Jay High School across the street and wow, it was incredible! I ordered the pernil with yellow rice and beans, and everything was packed with flavor. The green sauce on the side took it to another level, absolutely delicious. The staff were so kind and accommodating, making the experience even better. I’ll definitely be heading back soon. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Being in the area for a couple a years, we’ve been dying to find a good Dominican place up here. When we heard El Dominicano was opening up, we were looking forward to it and let me say- they DID NOT DISAPPOINT. FOOD IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS. Service is top tier and the owner is always greeting us. Empanadas are *chefs kiss*. 100% recommend this place. Also try they’re different flavor FRESH juices. Definitely our new to go spot.
