The great thing about Katz is that it is open 24/7. Houston has such a great food culture, but so many restaurants don’t often stay open incredibly late
I’ve been to Katz delis in NYC and in other parts of Houston, and this location is quite different. This spot is more modern and trendy. While the other locations have that NYC diner style charm, this location is more appealing in terms of decor, seating, etc
They have brunch, traditional breakfast, specialty coffees, lunch, dinner, alcohol, desserts etc. I went to this location for brunch and we had a great time. The service was solid. We had a sizable group and we didn’t have to make a reservation. We were seated in no time, and it was a weekend day. Also, our food came out in a timely manner
The food was tasty. I don’t find the prices overly steep, but it’s not especially inexpensive. The ambiance was comfortable, and the service was good
Some tips:
Monday-Friday 3-6pm they have a happy hour that includes 50% off all alcohol
The chilaquiles are surprisingly tasty. I would definitely order them again

Food was delicious and the drinks were really good too! We had the chips and queso, wings, and I ordered the chicken Alfredo penne. The wings were so good I left wanting more. The pasta was a huge portion, I couldn’t even finish it all. Drinks were on point; I had to get seconds The server was friendly and made the experience even better. Definitely worth coming back!

Interior is fancier and updated more than the one on Westhiemer. Menu is extensive so there is something for everyone. Plus, breakfast is served 24 hour. Not a bad experience, service was good and we were greeted as soon as we came through the door.

I ordered Brisket Egg Benedicts, and the photo is how it came out – no edit havent touched at all. The potatoes were just here and there, like they were thrown on the dish. This was my first time at Katz after all the hypes i’ve heard on social media and will be for sure my last time. The first impression of the dish is just??? It makes me feel like I begged for food, meanwhile I paid for the service and food.
The waitress was a nice girl but we had to get our own condiments, then she came to ask if i need anything else.
I asked to talk to the manager and we waited pretty long so we just stood up and about to leave because we didn’t have more time to sit around. Then she came when we were walking out, showed her this photo of my potatoes on the dish. While the table next to me, the guy ordered the same thing and the potatoes were in a small bowl, looked much more appetizing. All I heard from the manager is sorry. I gave her the comment note that they always have on each table, and she just put it into a comment box. Like? Is that what manager supposed to do when yall hear a complaint?

I ordered the Shrimp and Sausage Pastalaya last night. It came out very well presented and the taste even better. Definitely keeping this one on my Kat’z rotation. Thanks to True for checking in on us. Can’t remember the bartender’s name but thank you too. Great drinks.

I ordered the Creamy Herb Grilled Atlantic Salmon with the creamy spinach sauce, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms, and it was really good flavorful and satisfying. I especially like this Katz’s location because you can sit outside, which makes it great for families. There’s even an area where kids can play, so parents can actually relax and enjoy their meal. The service was good, and the fact that it’s open 24/7 is a huge plus. Always a reliable spot any time of day or night.

I was in town visiting a friend and he recommended we go eat here. There are many options on the menu and so far I can’t stop eating the chicken and waffles.
We came back for breakfast the next day and the breakfast tacos were pretty good too.
The staff were nice and welcoming.

First time visiting. Nice selection of food items. We had the lunch special of half any sandwich and a side of choice. We really liked this option. The food was very very good. The atmosphere is nice and the staff was friendly and courteous. We came back later to take advantage of the half priced drinks for happy hour. These were also delicious.

This was my first time at the location off of N. Shepherd. We were greeted immediately upon entry and seated within a minute. We chose to dine outdoors. There are TVs and plenty if options outside. Israel took our order and offered recommendations since it was our first time visiting. We had the Korean meatballs as an appetizer. They were delicious. Just a little kick and refreshing. For entrees, we had the chicken and waffles and burger and fries. Both items were seasoned well and satisfied our taste buds. The service was so efficient! I can’t wait to go back. Lots of food options and they are open 24 hours.
