The food was hot and fresh. The seasoning was great. I got a shrimp plate and my son got a Carolina burger. My son said the burger was better than jaggers. The shrimp was overcooked but respectfully try cooking it on a shorter time and it will be really good.

I ordered the catfish, fried corn on the cob and coleslaw. That corn was to die for so flavorful and juicy. I don’t know who seasoned, breaded and fried that fish but they did the thang! just crispy and ever bite was mmmm mmm good. I also loved the hot cake, it added a sweet flavor to a savory meal. Now the coleslaw was my least favorite. Idk what about it wasn’t for me but they could have kept that. Wait time wasnt long and the guy that passed me my food was very polite and kind. Didn’t even give the stank eye when I asked for more napkins. Definitely coming back and will be telling everyone with ears about my experience.

True to North Carolina style, the BBQ was perfectly seasoned, tender, and piping hot. The contrast with the cold, crisp coleslaw piled on top made every bite refreshing and satisfying. The bun was toasted to perfection, just enough of a buttery crunch on the inside that held everything together without getting soggy.
Service was fast, too. I got my sandwich just five minutes after ordering, fresh off the truck. Between the flavor, texture, and efficiency, this food truck nailed it. I’d absolutely track them down again.

Food was absolutely amazing! From the catfish being cooked to profection to the great collards and mac! Enjoyed every bite. And not to mention the hoe cakes! Will definitely recommend coming here again!

Wow just wow. If you are reading this review you are considering this food truck vs another. Quit playing just do it. Everything was top shelf, full of flavor, reasonably priced with a great App where you can order from your phone.

Every-time I eat here it’s an elevated food truck experience! If you haven’t tried it.., run. Today I took a coworker to the Haymont food stop and Savory Southern was on their A game again. As always, I can never leave with that Mac and cheese – it’s superb.

It was $9 for a “large” side of Mac and cheese, so I expected quite a bit more to be honest, it wasn’t even that good. If this is a large how small is the regular?? I know food trucks are generally more pricey, but you at least get decent food. I’m not one to leave negative reviews often but this just wasn’t it for me, not to mention there wasn’t any actual service and orders were placed with an electronic screen.

Got a pecan crusted chicken sandwich here last night 1-6-26 and ended up with a very upset stomach. I should have known better when it tasted like stale flour and old oil. I was starving and payed the price.

The food is great, whoever the small guy is at the back needs to work on his customer service. With what people have to pay for food today you shouldn’t be rude. As someone who has been in food service a bad attitude can cost you good paying customers. I have tried the fried ribs and I was there to get jumbo gumbo great by the way. Just don’t need him ruining the experience because it’s late and he’s ready to go. The lady up front with the glasses was a great help thank you.

Delicious; some of the best collards I’ve had in a very long time, a HUGE serving of catfish, excellent shrimp and grits. Only complaint is they often sold out and gone before I’m ready for dinner.
