Faith created an excellent experience for us. We asked for recommendations and hers were all winners…the drinks and the tacos. Try the Chipotle Chika taco and the Hot and Juicy cocktail. Thanks for an excellent evening! I’ll tell anyone coming through Louisville to stop by here. Thanks, Faith!!

This place was so much fun and a perfect way to end a day exploring in Louisville! The tacos are A LOT lol so be prepared. Total party for the senses. Our service was fast and everyone we met that worked there was very friendly. Highly recommend for a fun date night!

Everything was delicious that we tried. I don’t think anything isn’t good on the menu, honestly. We all loved our food and the atmosphere was chill, the art was striking and the wait staff were accommodating to our seating needs having a baby. 10/10 recommend. Happy hour is 3-6 Mon, Wed, Thur & Fri!!

Rachel the manager and Halee the very experienced server were beyond outstanding. I’ve been coming here for years. I brought my friend for the first time and she couldn’t believe she’d never known about this restaurant prior. 10/10 recommend is an understatement. Tell them Ella sent you! Ask for Halee as your server and tell Rachel how amazing she was!

My wife, and I decided to order some Door Dash while staying at the Children’s Hospital downtown with our son. We decided to order from Agave & Rye. We paid $60 to have the most disappointing, and downright DISGUSTING order I’ve ever seen. NOTHING came as ordered/advertised aside from the Elotes. My wife ordered an “alderman” taco that the menu advertised as a taco with Carne Asade Steak, street corn, cotija cheese, and spicy chile de arbol salsa….. it came as a few chunks of steak on top of a soggy tortilla. I ordered the “rooster” taco, that had no sauce on it, and a birria burrito. The cup of birria looks like the oil left at the bottom of the pan after the good stuff was scooped out, and was only filled about 1/4. I hesitated to try a bite of the burrito itself, but did anyways just to test my suspicions, and to no surprise it was soggy, bland, and tasted like a gym sock. There was a spot on the bag that said “packed with love by” that the employee who filled our order surprisingly failed to write their name on….. yea, I wouldn’t put my name on that either, but I’m going to take that as an indication that you KNEW what you were doing, but didn’t care enough to do better. Thanks for nothing.

Good margaritas and appetizers. I like that they are open fairly late. They have nightly specials during the week, along with happy hour. The food is different, but good. The only thing I dislike is I frequent here usually about once a month or at least every other month. And every single time I go, the menu is different. They switch up their menus very frequently, I understand that at higher end places. But I don’t think it’s necessary at a taco place.

The food was delicious, the portions were great, the place was cute and clean, and the music had good volume. I went with a group of 8 people, and they accommodated us. The server was super nice and attentive. I would come back for sure

Food presented well, but it wasn’t very flavorful and a little over priced for what it was. I like Birria Tacos and have tried them at many different places, the ones here were my least favorite, a lot of cheese and not much meat. Atmosphere was unique and fine, the service was mediocre.

My Fiancée and I ate at this wonderful restaurant this past Monday. We had Blake as our server. He was an amazing waiter. He was patient and kind. This is the second time in two years that we have eaten here while visiting Louisville. When we visit Louisville we will probably visit Agave and Rye again. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and definitely “hipster” but not in an arrogant way. The drink selection is interesting and wonderfully crafted. Unfortunately I do not remember the names but mine had a flower that you chew and it completely changed the expierence and taste of the drink. We shared the Queso Birria Irish Nachos and the Shrimp Ragoon. The Nachos are a HUGE appetizer. They do not skimp on the toppings. My only wish is if it had consomme with it! The shrimp ragoons have changed since the last time we visited but we still enjoyed them. We each had three tacos eith the Queso blanket. If you are looking for traditional tacos this is not the place but for a different culinary experience I would come here. We will definitely be back!
