Everyone has there own different experiences where they go, a good recommendation place to go for a dine In breakfast for home style food. Previous people have mentioned of over cooked food or not being well in there favor but do not take into consideration of take out food still continues to cook while in the container the whole time being enclosed. Great breakfast, great lunch, great place, a lot of history, overall a must.

The only good thing was the lady over the phone was nice. Other than that, the food was plain & not good at all. They didn’t even put salt & pepper packets in the bag for the eggs which the eggs needed really badly. The home fries tasted like there could’ve been soap in them OR like they put zero seasoning at all. The french toast didnt taste like french toast.. it just tasted like bread. I expected it to be better due to how many stars they have on google, but it was nasty.

I, Christine Mensch have been going to George’s for 14 yrs. yrs. and I work there too, and I gotta tell ya he and his daughter make the best bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted buttered English muffin is a hit for me and there slammin breakfasts and lunches are great too in every way! This is why his establishment has lasted 47 years coming up, I believe, love him and the crew, and all the loyal customers that have been coming there for many years!!! There the best❣️❣️❣️❣️ ♀️ ✌️

Reviewed breakfast places near me and based on the number of repeat customers and mostly positive reviews, I went.
Saturday breakfast. Surprised there is available parking out front and at rear of building.
Very, very small eating area with counter seating on stools everywhere.
Definitely a very long term eatery. Everything old, dingy but frequented by friendly customers who know everyone and the staff.
Coffee is served in a geat traditional old, solid ceramic small mug. Coffee is good….not as robust as I would like, but if they were to begin doubling up on the Coffee filters, it would make a hugh difference.
Staff is so friendly and P/T Jenn’s smile is so warm and welcoming as well as the great attention to service.
Ordered eggs over easy, rye toast, home fries and Pork roll/Taylor ham.
First breakfast place I ate in 6 years that actually serves fresh cut potatoes rather than the bagged prepared type.
While not seasoned and or with onions, just a tad of salt and pepper does the trick.
Thickest Pork roll I ever had. Tasty, could cut with my fork only. Had to be 4-5 slices by comparison found at other places.
I spoke to the iconic owner – George. He’s operated the location for 43 years. This wonderful man is very old, quick with a smile and a very personable indivdual. I see why he doesn’t retire, he loves people and his business and that will bring me back to enjoy breakfast alone again.

Anyone who knows anything about this area knows that there is NO PLACE quite like George’s! The food is excellent and the portions are great for the money. It is a throwback to the old school family diners that used to be so prevalent in this area. I hear some narrow minded people call it dirty….nothing could be further from the truth! The cooking areas are immaculate as well as are the plates and utensils. This is an old building, and the interior is somewhat dated but it’s anything but dirty. Do yourself a favor and stop in for the best traditional breakfast in the area, hands down. While you’re there strike up a conversation with some of the regulars, many of whom are lifelong residents of the Borough…who knows, ya just might learn something as well!
