Highly recommend this place for pizza in Albany! We stopped in on a road trip up to Lake George and enjoyed the blue pizza and hot honey pizza, as well as the kale Caesar salad. The food was all great and the service was fast and friendly. Props to the owner Zane!

Finally, a pizza with good crust. I have been let down by so many pizza joints with sub par crusts. I bought a blu pizza and the crust was flavorful and crisp. There was a person here who was calling the crust burnt which is despicable since this is the way Italians and Sicilians do pizza. Its a staple of New York pizza. I am not trying to bite into a doughy pizza that tastes undercooked and soggy. I want a fire oven real pizza. There are many fast food establishments that offer microwaved dough-like pizza.
I am glad there is an actual place that offers fire oven pizza. Just be forewarned that the taste of the gorgonzola is sharp.

An unexpected place to find great pizza in the Capital Region. The undercarriage and crust compliment the pizzas very well. My personal favorite is the Hot Honey or the Blu Pizza. $5 All You Can Eat Focaccia is very underrated as well. Zane really knows what he’s doing and gets me right every time.

The pizza was burned and no sauce , so dry that you need a drink to swallow it. I would rather spend the extra time driving to defazios. It was so confusing walking into city beer hall and the restaurant is this hideous blue, so unappetizing. Also so confusing having two restaurants in one. What even happened to the free pizza??? It was so much better than this “pizza” served here.

It isn’t often that you find truly special pizza, but Blu Pizza in Albany’s City Beer Hall is without a doubt the best pie in the Capital District. It rivals John’s of Bleeker in NYC. The crust is perfectly charred on top with beautiful leoparding on the bottom, with just the right balance of tooth and crisp. The cheese and tomato are first class products… Do yourself a favor and try one!!!

I really like the food, vibes, atmosphere, and drinks at the CBH. But of my last 3 visits, 1 time they didn’t honor their advertised special, and the other time it took nearly 15 minutes to order our first drink (and 10 for my second).
