My date and I received exceptional service on a Thursday evening. We shared a Captain Don’s Dinner. The brisket was ok, I liked the ribs, the pulled chicken and pork were good. No notes on the sides of baked beans, slaw, grits, and crispy fries. I went for the convenient location and service.

We drove 30 minutes to try Corky’s, and it was worth every mile! I ordered the catfish and it was absolutely delicious—like New Orleans in my mouth. Our group had a little bit of everything, and honestly, the table went quiet except for finger-licking and happy sighs. Service was top notch, and the atmosphere felt special, especially with all the pictures of celebrities who have visited lining the walls.

I took a client who wanted “Memphis” BBQ while in town. We were not disappointed.
Service was slow at first, busy or short-handed, but once she took our order, she took good care of us.
We both had a half rack of half and half (half saucy and half dry rub). We liked both and it’s difficult to decide which is better. It comes with fries, slaw, and baked beans. We both substituted Mac and cheese for the slaw. If you can eat all of that, you’re going to be very full. Plan to take some home. I’ll be back again soon.

Disappointed. Was excited to try some Memphis barbecue on our way through Memphis. Got a half rack dry. Dry Seasoning was ok but there was barely any meat on the bones and there was a lot of gristle. Had a stomach ache later. The Mac and cheese side was so dry must’ve been sitting all day and we got there at five so it should’ve been fresh Not fresh. The beans were tasty. The coleslaw just wasn’t to my liking -kind of tart. The rolls were the best part! The floor under a booth look like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was disgusting. My husband said his feet were sticking to the floor near the urinal.!! The place is pretty rundown. Heather was a wonderful server! Very cheerful!

The green beans were delicious and packed with flavor, while the mac and cheese was decent, serving as a nice comfort food. The spaghetti was surprisingly yummy, adding a unique twist to our meal. However, the brisket was a bit of a letdown; it was lean and dry, and I would have appreciated having the option to choose between lean and moist cuts. The pudding was just okay, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience.
What really sets this place apart is the fantastic vibe and atmosphere. I absolutely loved the ambiance, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning for another round of their tasty offerings!

The date I dined in was 9-19. I came to visit Corkeys after traveling all the way from Florida. I wanted to have a sit down meal because I had been driving for over 12 hours. When i came in it seemed like no one wanted to sit me down because I was a solo customer. Multiple times they asked me if I wanted my food to go even though I told them I wanted to dine in at the bar. They took forever to take my order. The food came out and it seemed like they warmed it up in the microwave. When eating the brownie pie i choked and spit out pieces of styrofoam. I showed the waiter and they said the manager will comp the order. When the manager Karl came out she was unapologetic and said she was unsure how styrofoam even got into the pie. She then asked me if it was ok if she only took off the brownie from the order. Even the customers and other waiters were appalled with her customer service. I was too tired to even argue after driving over 12 hours.
