Reviews
When I first visited Laymoon Cafe during their grand opening, they were so popular they had actually run out of a few things I was dying to try. The team was kind enough to invite me back to get the full experience, and let’s just say… it was worth the return trip! ☕️
The Order:
• Zaatar Bagel: I’ve been eyeing their bagels since day one. The toasted seeds on top give it such an incredible texture and savory crunch. You can choose between plain cream cheese or labne, which is fermented yoghurt.
• Caramelized Fig Vanilla Matcha: This is a smooth, balanced drink. The vanilla and fig add a subtle sweetness that doesn’t mask the matcha, it’s a great balance.

So this is my review. Beautiful place – pistachio cookie I got the Spanish latte because they didn’t have the caramelized fig matcha I wanted to try, they said they had run out day before which was the grand opening so I completely understand. I also got an avocado toast with pomegranate only bcuz their bakers weren’t in yet and I wanted to try their bagels. So will def have to catch that next time, sounds like it may be best to come by later when the bakers are in, but you will wait a quite a bit. Maybe different during the weekdays!
Also, lots of beautiful small things including jewelry, the total adds up QUICK! All to a great cause tho.
You can tell the amount of love and detail that went into curating this space and its menu. I’m excited to visit again when the savory menu is available!
I tried the baklava latte and upside down strawberry matcha – the matcha had a great sweet flavor from balancing with the strawberry whereas the latte kept me energized for hours without feeling that “espresso shock” factor.
As a snack I ordered the honey toast which quickly made me realize I need to add Labneh to my grocery order asap. My friend ordered the fig latte and felt there was a lack of flavor, so there may still be tweaks needed (but this was the grand opening and hectic so I’m sure on a standard day it would be stellar).
The menu had several pastries i want to go back for so I will be visiting again! I spent just over $50 on two iced beverages, a pastry and a can of green za’atar. The beverages range from $5-$9
Other than that, I love the food and ambiance! I plan on going back to try the rest of their menu. This time, I got the baklava with cheese and the Strawberry acai refresher, both delicious and refreshing
Laymoon also sells tins of zaatar, tumblers, some stationery and jewelry/totes from Nominal totes are my weakness so I caved and bought the olive green tote embroidered with olive branches in cream thread. It’s a well-made tote with a top zipper and 2 inside pockets beautiful cafe and wish them lots of business !
We had the cardamom rose latte ☕️, caramelized fig and vanilla matcha , chocolate pistachio croissant , and za’atar bagel with labneh and olive oil .
This place is a much-needed staple for the community and elegant oasis in the desert.
I’m happy that this cafe is doing well, but know that during rush times, the line is out the door and you’re unlikely to get a seat!
A great place to buy a gift for a friend (or yourself): they sell elegant jewelry and cute accessories from local brand Nominal, in the store.
