Heard that it was really good. Decided to give it a try and in my opinion it is just average. The pastor Mimi tacos were okay and the shrimp was really thin and had the cornbread type batter.

Shrimp enchiladas were excellent. Seafood gumbo was full of shrimp and crab. Music was a little loud but not intolerable. Wait staff were Johnny on the spot.

Food was awesome and service impeccable.. Marg was good! Only complaint is when received ticket.. charge for sales tax.. charge for credit card.. and charge for alcohol tax. Never seen that one..margs are the most profitable…25% pour cost which is 5 times markup over raw ingredients and you want to tax me on that? Just FYI folks.

Excellent food service and atmosphere. It was two free margaritas night. They are small but very good. The oysters are delicious, so fresh and a very good price at 14.99 a dozen. We also had fried mushrooms very delicious. And we spit a Paderes for one and was plenty. All very delicious. I love this restaurant. It’s one of my favorite places.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Calallen! The food is so delicious and it’s something different than regular old tex mex. I got to go food from here for Mother’s Day and it was superb. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the service is great. I’m determined to try everything on this menu its all so good! My favorites are the ceviche, the enchiladas, the crawfish etoufee.

Beautiful and inviting restaurant. The atmosphere is casual but lively. They had several TV’s with football on. I normally don’t care for that but here it wasn’t distracting. Very clean and seemed to have a lot of staff working.

Server was very polite and got our drink orders quickly. This place does not serve alcohol but you can get up to 2 small free margaritas on the rocks. You can also byob.

I ordered the broiled seafood platter. It was fantastic and a ton of food. Husband ordered texas fries. He said they were decent but nothing fantastic. We’ll try other options the next time we go.

If you go on the weekend there will probably be a wait. It’s a big place so I imagine it gets packed. Overall good experience.

We walked into this Mexican restaurant ready to eat and left without ordering a single thing because of how openly racist and hostile the staff were toward Black customers.

From the start, we were stared at and spoken to with obvious attitude. The final straw was when one of us tried to order a drink and slightly mispronounced the name. Instead of politely correcting it like a normal, respectful server would, the staff laughed, repeated it back in a mocking tone, and made jokes to each other about it. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary.

What made it worse was that this behavior clearly wasn’t happening to other customers. The difference in treatment was obvious, intentional, and disgusting. No one tried to apologize or fix the situation—if anything, they seemed amused by it.

We didn’t feel welcome, respected, or safe staying there, so we left before ordering. No food is worth being disrespected over, especially for something as small as mispronouncing a drink name.

If you’re Black or care about basic human decency, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Racism has no place in any restaurant, and this place clearly hasn’t gotten that message.
