Great view, service and food.
We even made friends with Midnight, the restaurant cat.
Our Second trip 12/31/25for lunch and Hunter was great
It was the first snowfall of 2026 in Savannah. A friend and I had a spontaneous idea to drive out to the beach to see the ocean in winter. The moment we stepped out of the car, we realized we felt like two Florida iguanas frozen solid ❄️.
While crossing the parking lot, half frozen and questioning our life choices, we spotted this little restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner and immediately decided to go in for something warm. I ordered hot chocolate, my friend ordered hot tea. As we warmed up, we studied the menu and thought the grilled shrimp tacos with sweet potato fries sounded perfect. Watching the tall, handsome server listen to our order, I had a good feeling — and we were absolutely right.
The shrimp, vegetables, and sauce were perfectly balanced, rich in flavor and texture. The sweet, crispy sweet potato fries paired with just a hint of spicy sauce were an absolute match made in heaven. Seeing how much we enjoyed it, that same server kindly refilled our hot tea — and in that moment, it felt incredibly warm, inside and out.
If you think the story ends here, you’d miss the sweetest and warmest moment of the entire day.
After a freezing walk along the beach — ice pellets clinging to our hats, fingers and noses bright red — we returned to the restaurant. I ordered another hot chocolate while my friend went to the restroom. Then… we simply walked out, as naturally as if we had brought a warm drink from home. We even joked on the way how nice the hot chocolate felt in our hands.
It wasn’t until 30 minutes later, after parking at our place in West Savannah, that we suddenly realized —
I never paid for that last hot chocolate.
I immediately googled the restaurant’s phone number and called. The woman who answered was the very one who made my hot chocolate. When I told her what happened, she laughed warmly and said she already knew. She said it was so cold that she was just happy the hot cocoa brought us some warmth. I offered to come back or pay over the phone, but she told me they were closing soon because of the snow and not to worry about it.
Her voice was warm. Her laughter was genuine.
And I know I’ll be back — for the food, yes — but mostly for that unexpected kindness and sweet winter memory.
Skinny margarita was good – you can taste the tequila for sure.
The vibes were awesome and a nice place to sit down post-beach in the evening!
I got the soft smell crab sandwich. I’ve never had soft shell crab and have been wanting to try. It was mouth watering. The seasonings were great and the crab meat was so juicy. And let’s not forget those sweet potato fries I got with it.
My husband got the chicken tortilla salad and that was delicious as well.
Our waiter was George and he is one of kind!!!! Great service, great personality, great food. We will definitely be back!
We tried the BBQ sandwich, mahi fish sandwich, cheeseburger, and shrimp basket, and each of us was blown away by how fresh and delicious everything was—clearly made to order. My wife also loved her margarita, which came right away (a rarity in some places we’ve been!). The French fries were top-notch, and my daughter couldn’t get enough of the sautéed vegetables.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the speed of service was lightning-fast. You can tell this kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine, even during a busy rush. The mahi sandwich was surprisingly large, packed with flavor, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were generously sized, and the portion was just right. The BBQ was sweet, lean, and featured high-quality pork. The cheeseburger was cooked just how we like it, and my son devoured it along with the fries.
I’d give this place a 10/10 for both the food and the atmosphere alone. But when it comes to Tybee Island, this is the place to go. It’s conveniently located right next to beach access, public bathrooms, showers, and essentially in the shadow of the lighthouse. Honestly, we’ll be back to this exact spot next time we visit Tybee.
