I would highly recommend this place. I was apprehensive because they are under new ownership but the staff is very personable, and the food is excellent(and I am a culinary snob)…my wife had the seafood casserole which was good…I had the chef’s tasting menu which was a 5 course menu…it was a mystery chefs deal, so again I was apprehensive. it was awesome…the best item was a spinach gnocchi w crispy duck and garlic….it was excellent! the desserts were off the hook good…the guy’s wife is a pastry chef….value: excellent…quantity: excellent…….we”re skiing for the weekend and going back tonite!
We are now back from our skiing weekend..we DID indeed go back again, and it was every bit as good the second day…this time we had the black box appetizer…everything was again stellar..it consisted of a caesar salad that had an authentic dressing. You could taste a hint of anchovies!-delicious , there were some chicken tenders that were very good, some pei mussels with a fantastic white wine and garlic sauce, and for the piece de resistance, a delicious mediteranian spicy fish stew..for an entree, I had the rack of lamb. it was tender and juicy inside with a crispy , light breaded coating with a very mild touch of mustard. Delicious! My wife had a full portion of the gnocci I had mentioned earlier.
I elaborate and am so enthusiastic because I see so few chefs that have the dedication to GREAT food that Robert does. I sincerely wish him much success! Jim
