We finally tried Bensi of Wayne and loved every bit of it! We started with the Spanish Smoked Paprika Fried Calamari which was from the Specials Menu, featuring the freshest most tender squid I’ve ever had in NJ and it was breaded and fried to perfection! For our entrees we both got the Vodka Chicken Parm which was also flavored and fried to absolute perfection! We ended our experience with a chocolate Peanut Butter Tartufo which was delicious, decadent and also from the Specials Menu. The service and atmosphere were warm, welcoming and attentive.

My clients picked this spot to get lunch. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine with garlic and oil. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted by a nice man. I paid and he helped me bring the food to the car. When I ate I didn’t particularly care for the minestrone soup because it needed salt but the pasta was really good and flavorful. I had a good experience.

WARNING- THIS PLACE HIRES THIEVES. This was my family’s go to local ITalian restaurant for a long time until December 17th when we went to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. We finished paying and didn’t realize that my wife left her purse which contained her wallet, ID and credit cards. We had returned after 10 minutes since we live 1.5 miles from the restaurant and when we came back the table had been cleaned and set and no one had been seated there. We asked the owner and workers and they said they did not see any bag and they proceeded to check the back with no luck. We fortunately had an air tag that kept showing that the bag was still there but suddenly stopped. We filed a police report but we will never go here again and I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This was my first time trying Bensi and I had a pretty bad experience. I ordered a large vegetable ravioli for 19 dollars but when I opened my order I thought I received the half portion. Definitely overpriced for the amount of food I received. Half the container was filled with oil. The ravioli didn’t seem to come in any kind of sauce. The soup container was also very small. Overall, the quality and quantity were both very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend Bensi based on this experience.

Always reliably good tasting food at a Bensi’s and this location was no exception. We had the Pan fried chicken arugula and the pasta bolognes. This chicken was tender and delicious as was the pasta dish. This location is tucked away in a small strip mall. Nothing fancy, but good food at a fair price. Lots of parking. service.

I catered food for my daughter’s graduation party and it was a hit! Lynn was super helpful with picking out the menu. She directed me to which food heats better etc. Meatballs, crab cakes, potato croquette, chicken Franchise and pork were delicious!!! Paul could not have been more helpful too when I stopped by the day before asking if he could add another tray. The best part was Jay who delivered and set up everything for me. This is a great Wayne restaurant!

The place is good, not too crowded and you can talk. Service is good, a bit more expensive than what I initially thought, food portions are big, and food is good.
I think it’s fair to say that a 4 star reading is adequate for this restaurant.
Do not expect any entertainment of any sort… I kind of felt a little bored there.

The entrees coupled with fine service makes this our regular Italian restaurant. Meals seem to be made to order as they are always fresh. The chef occasionally comes out to serve the entree. Good food, good atmosphere, clean place, good service. Just the right place and food to bring friends or the entire family.
