The crispy pork isn’t roasted, it’s deep fried, I’d give id dock it one star for that so 4 stars for that dish. Same for the mapo tofu, it was good, I wouldn’t caution from trying it, but it is slightly sweet and barely spicy at all. I know it’s a mild spicy dish but this was still mild. I also got the scallion pancakes, everything was yummy. 4/5 star no drama.

Been going here for years. The thousand island tofu is really good. Every time we come we order a new item as there are many to choose from. The scallion pancakes and sesame chicken were both very good. Good service and quiet atmosphere. Good for take out or for dining in.

I used to go here many years ago with my mother. Hadn’t been here in over a decade. The atmosphere is still the same. It’s intimate and clean. The food is fresh and yummy. I wouldn’t recommend the pan fried pot stickers. I believe they were previously Frozen. I did order their $7.99 special of chicken and vegetables over steamed rice which was really good. I ordered one to take home because the vegetables and chicken were so fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes are large. I like the diversity of the menu and that many of the dishes are traditional Chinese dishes that you could not get at American styles Chinese restaurants.

Why do the serve spaghetti at a Chinese restaurant? It taste good though. Smothered in cheese. I think the sauce is sweet and sour sauce. Happy hour drinks take forever to prepare and service needs work. Minus one star. Try the giant pork leg too.

The rice was not fresh. Some of it was hard and dry. We had the option of having the entree with or without rice. We should have chosen without.

This place was the first place I considered to be a real authentic Chinese / Hong Kong restaurant that I grew up with. Not the Americanized/ Western Chinese food you get. The food has become average, less items due to Covid. It’s still passable in a pinch. They have specials between 2-5.

Lots of easy parking and well priced foods. Macau also has 3 dish specials for about $35 that good for a family meal, and daily lunch specials that include drinks. Nothing fancy but the food is a local favorite.

My daily go to cafe, offers variety of lunch and dinner menu, special wonton noodle very similar to HK or Macau style, not able to find anywhere else in local Sacramento, you won’t get wrong ordering wonton noodle and stewed beef ho fen (flat rice noodle)2nd photo is the pig intestine wrapping sticker rice, I know it might be overwhelming a bit if you are not familiar with Chinese food, this is a special and unique dish

I like this place!
The food is authentic. I originally this place coming out of Sprouts. The windows were lined with pictures of food and I was hungry so I decided to try it out. The workers were pleasant. They greeted me at the door and assisted with taking my order. The first visit, I ordered War Wonton soup to go. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was packed in two container, one for broth and the other had the wontons, meat and vegetables. The soup was very flavorful. It was full of various vegetables and meats.
My second visit I ordered chicken and mushrooms lunch special. It was not as flavorful as the wonton soup, but still authentic. The serving size was appropriate for a lunch special.
I recently saw this place listed in the top 10 for Chinese restaurants in Sacramento. They deserve to be.
