Being from NY, this is one place that makes me feel like we are in China town. The food is traditional and really good.

Driving through and needed a place open after 9 pm that was not fast food. Tasted as it was cooked fresh. Would certainly stop by again if was in the area. Rice and tea were included with your orders. You order family style and share the dishes with others.

Solid Chinese food in the heart of OKC. No frills, quick and delicious.

Must try items:

Salt and pepper tofu
Peking spare ribs

I’ve lived in several states and tried General Tso’s chicken in many places, but unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. The dish lacked the signature sweet, spicy, and rich flavor—it was surprisingly bland and soggy, despite me waiting for the food to be freshly made. It tasted mostly of bell pepper and had no crunch or depth.

The sweet and sour chicken had a crispy exterior, but the sauce was extremely watered down and lacked any real flavor. Similarly, the beef lo mein was bland, tasting only of plain noodles with no noticeable sauce or seasoning.

I spent over $45 here, and sadly, it felt like a waste of both money and time. The restaurant was clean and the staff were polite, which I appreciate, but unfortunately, the food just didn’t meet expectations. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Update 4 years later: Chows is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Their salty fish fried rice is one of the best fried rice dish I’ve ever had here in OKC. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. Perfect for family style eating.

Chow’s is an experience. It takes me back to the old school Chinese restaurants my Grandparents would take me to. Watching them rip cigarettes while we all stared at each other across the lazy Susan. This place has all the right pieces in place giving you an absolute experience from the inside decor to delivering on the food. I didn’t get the hyped up food experience I craved. I’ve recently been on the hunt for some of the best Chinese in OKC. Chows comes highly recommended on google, Reddit, and yelp so naturally I stopped in.

Food: Beef n Broccoli, Sesame Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, spring roll, egg roll, cream of corn w/ chicken, and egg drop soup were all on today’s tasting menu.

What a gem! I have never had food like this before, and looks can be deceiving but this place is a real show stopper. If you love asian cuisine this is the best place in Oklahoma to get it. I see myself coming here every time I am down and it is just so good every time. The staff is sweet and the food is fresh and hot. I seriously cant wait to come back, and the prices are wonderful you just cant beat it.

So I drove past this restaurant and something about it screamed good food lol. Told my sis about it and we were there. Combination fried rice we both had, sis had sesame chicken, I had crispy quail and lemonade. Now when I tell ya the food is good, it is GOOD. And they had a full house. You should try it.

*Update January 25th 2025* I think they changed their chef or he/she is on vacation. I just wasted $32 and some cents. Fried rice tastes like soaked rice. Salt and pepper shrimps still has blood flowing in it. I could not bring myself to eating it. This food is a mess. I will NEVER come here again. I am so nauseated right now. I have brought over seven persons here on different occasions and up until today, I still preached about this place only to be served this! I hope you guys do better really
