I was there moments before closing time, but was given full service and kindness.
The blueberry tea was unsweetened and delicious!
I parked out front and it was not difficult to find a spot.
There are no stairs (fully accessible). Also, there is an adult and child piano! So cute (though might get annoying if you’re trying to study or something.)
Food: The sandwiches were alright. All the ingredients were pre-packaged (ie: packaged deli meat) but the meat portions were generous.
Price: It costs more to get the bagel as the bread of your sandwich. I think it’s reasonable to upcharge for a bagel (vs an English muffin) but I wish I was told before being charged.
Atmosphere: The shop had a run down feel with the updated prices hastily scribbled over the old ones. Our sandwiches came on two differently sized plates because they ran out of clean plates. There were coffee grounds all over the trinkets in the back and they (the trinkets) looked like they hadn’t need dusted in ages. The workstation was not clean and organized, but rather looked like I do when I haphazardly cook at home.
Ultimately, this establishment seems like a one person show & I understand that’s challenging. However, I still expect good cleanliness and reasonable organization from a food purveyor. The quality of food did not rescue the atmosphere so I unfortunately would not return again.
The atmosphere is also very nice. It’s quaint, there are nice decorations, and it’s pretty quiet too.
Con: macaroon was free bc hard
Major con: as I’m sitting there, trying to enjoy the coffee & read – staff and their friends were talking about how it would be “smart to threaten people about calling ICE on them unless they pay them $1000”…. So i dont recommend
