Started in 2017 as a single food truck in London, KY, Koi Express has since expanded to a full restaurant with a second location in Frankfort and plans to open more restaurants around the Commonwealth. Koi Express serves top quality sushi rolls and Japanese hibachi. With average lunch and dinner prices between $8 and $13, our mission is to be the best Japanese fast casual restaurant by consistently serving fast, fresh, delicious dishes with a stellar customer experience from start to finish.

The hibachi steak at Koi Express is phenomenal. The rice and vegetables come out sizzling hot and full of flavor, and honestly, I could eat it any day of the week. The prices are shockingly reasonable for how good the food is. Highly recommend. Thank you, Koi!

I love this sushi place so much! Super affordable and the best take out I have ever had! The place itself is small but that’s okay! There is a wait time when ordering food but that wasn’t a big deal. Seating is nice but I would still rather do take out. The portions are good and definitely worth the money! I would recommend this place if you enjoy sushi!

I’ve driven past KOI Express a thousand times and never realized that they serve Japanese food! This little place is fantastic! We had shrimp shumai, Crab Rangoon, chicken dumplings, hibachi and an eel avocado roll. Everything was delicious! I can’t wait to come back again!

Food looks great value wise prices are a bit high when you compare the amount of portion to the price charged the bowl prices at around 15 to 16 dollars meat ratio very light and folks it’s ramen noodles in there along with a few veggies so at that price would expect a lot more

Love this place. It delivers excellent food on time with professionalism. Website is a little clunky, but functional. Staff was friendly.
The flavor is excellent. None of the chicken cuts had gristle or fat. Get the spicy upgrade. Get an extra yum yum sauce and side of fried rice, and you’ll have enough to make 2 meals from an order.

We were in Frankfort for the day looking for a good Sushi restaurant. The reviews were great so we went. We weren’t disappointed! The service was quick and friendly. The place was very clean and the Sushi was wonderful. We ordered Samari roll and Kentucky roll. They were both great. The Samari was the best. We also got a spicy tuna roll ( the only one I took a photo of) it was good too. Definitely will be back when we are in the area! Thanks guys

This is now my 3rd visit. The crew that works here is very friendly. Always a smile welcoming me into the restaurant. Very small dining room but exceptionally clean. Now let’s get down to the food. I have had the Hibachi Chicken, Hibachi Steak and now the Hibachi Steak and Chicken. They have always asked how I wanted the steak cooked and nailed it each time. The Meat has been seasoned very nicely and the Hibachi vegetables along with the rice makes for a solid portion. I have no disappoints!

What a great little place for a quick lunch! We were looking for something light for lunch and chose this place after reading prior reviews. They have an uncomplicated menu with great choices, but not overwhelming! Our service experience was excellent. Its always great to see a smiling face when your food is brought to your table. We opted for sushi…Alaskan Roll, Hollywood Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll, with crab rangoon for an appetizer. The food was fresh and delicious! We will be back!

I’d say Frankfort finally has a clean, 5 star Asian restaurant! Their food is high-quality and taste is stellar! Restaurant is clean and cozy and they have outdoor dining as well. Hibachi steak and rice with extra veggies was fork tender at medium. They will cook steak how you like it. Yum yum sauce is well yum yum awesome on the rice as well a s the spring rolls! I could eat there daily! I’ve never been a sushi or shishami fan, but their’s looked really fresh and tasty. The also had several fried rolls. I’ll definitely be there again. Also portions were sizeable! I got two meals out of my chicken noodles and veggies!

The best hibachi I have had in a long time. Everything was fresh! Our first time in here and they were very kind with how we ordered since i had picky kids who don’t do veggies. Very quick and convenient to the near by hotel we were staying at.
