Why I gave three was lunch special was decently priced & presented. Though it was our first time eating here, we have been hearing about it for quite some time.
Food was ok. In the lunch special portions were good. Taste was ok. The best thing to eat was the chicken manchurian which was more like a marriage between chicken 65 and chilli chicken batter wise taste wise. Pakore are a north Indian delicacy….many restaurants with south origin don’t scrath surface with it. Here too they were ok more like a malba of bhajiya leftover..butter chicken was more like creamy chicken tikka masala. Biryani I was looking forward to but it was sadly bland. The one indian sized chicken drumstick failed to either impress on taste or its absorption of masala. Naan’s on the other hand were impressive and just the way we like them crunchy and soft at the same time so 10/10 for naan gulab jamun were there that is all I can say…its my favorite dessert so I feel it had some texture issues..overall if you are hungry its good value for money for someone who does not know how to cook indian food and wants to try bland indian food.
We were tad disappointed.

A few things. The Gobi Manchurian was absolutely delicious! Crunchy, sweet, sour, definitely the best version of this dish I’ve ever had! Honestly made the entire dining experience well worth it. The naan is also quite superb – it was crispy and had a healthy amount of chew. The Tikka masala felt really interesting since I’ve never tasted Tikka masala like this one before. It had quite strong egg flavor, and nowhere near tomatoey enough for me. This dish I could’ve skipped. The saag paneer was pretty decent, but it depends on what you’re looking for. Creamy and thick? Then maybe don’t get the saag paneer from here. It’s quite thin, and had a much more muted flavor compared to other saag paneers I’ve had. The goat biryani was great, and the rest of the curries were also quite good! Overall, I would definitely recommend but the dishes felt a little inconsistent with similar places, though definitely very solid option for Indian food!

We had dinner at Naga’s South Indian Cuisine in Austin, Texas, and it was such a wonderful experience. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The appam was soft and perfect, the mutton curry was rich and flavorful, the vada sambar was comforting, and the chana bhatura was fresh and satisfying, with their tea being the perfect way to end the meal. They also surprised us with complimentary payasam, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. The quality, quantity, and taste of the food truly impressed us, and everything felt authentic and made with care. The staff were extremely warm, friendly, and welcoming, making the entire experience even better. We are already looking forward to visiting again, especially for their buffet with its wide variety of dishes. A must visit place and highly recommended. ❤️

Nagas in Austin is a popular spot for Indian cuisine, especially known for its extensive weekend buffet ️. I’ve visited 3–4 times, and the experience has been mixed—two visits were excellent, while two were average, depending on freshness and crowd levels. I had take out orders for biryani twice but both the times it was not upto the mark.
The buffet menu is huge—almost too huge to fully justify and enjoy in one visit . There’s an overwhelming variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, making it hard to taste everything. Vegetarian options include upma, pongal, podi idly, noodles, plain rice, curd rice, and rice with sambar and fry . Non-veg offerings feature multiple biryanis, butter chicken, Nagas chicken curry, and naan with paneer curry, which were flavorful when fresh .
The dessert section is equally impressive. Desserts include gulab jamun, beetroot halwa, mysore pak, ice creams, chaats, and even cotton candy , which adds a fun touch—especially for families.
When the buffet is at its best, the flavors feel authentic and satisfying. However, with such a massive menu, consistency can suffer on busy weekends, and not every dish hits the mark each time.
Pros:
✔️ Extremely large buffet spread
✔️ Veg & non-veg variety
✔️ Strong dessert selection
✔️ Good value for groups
Cons:
➖ Inconsistent quality
➖ Too many items to enjoy fully in one visit
Overall, Nagas is worth visiting for variety—just manage expectations and timing .

OMG, just devoured the most incredible Indian lunch buffet at Naga’s Indian Cuisine! The spread was UNLIMITED and UNBELIEVABLE – so many flavors, so much yum! Highlights were the Tandoori Chicken – Soft and Juicy, melt-in-the-mouth biryani, and the fluffiest naan EVER . Service was top-notch too! If you’re craving authentic Indian goodness, THIS IS THE PLACE Would go back ASAP!”

Late afternoon after toddle play at the cheeky monkeys, I found this place nearby with good reviews. Ordered (to-go) Seeraga Samba biryani (this was delicious, mutton pieces were well cooked and flavorful), Chicken Chettinad (asked for mild for got a very spicy version we could not eat), Chicken Malai Tikka Kabab (this was great) and garlic naan. They had sold out but were kind enough to make masala tea I took to-go. Overall great experience, will return to try other dishes.

This was our first time here and we will absolutely be back! We came for dinner around 7pm on a Friday. It wasn’t busy but there were 5 or 6 other tables. Then a large party came so the noise level went up significantly but it was fine. The store manager, Bisha, was great and he made great recommendations to my husband and I. He asked what kind of spice levels we could handle, what we were thinking of eating, if we wanted appetizers, etc. Perfect service! It seems like everyone works as a team as well since basically the staff all walked over to check on us. There is a lunch time buffet everyday so we will have to come back to try that. I only wish there was an unlimited Naan option as the garlic naan is seriously addicting.
