I hardly ever give bad reviews, but this experience truly warrants one. We used to come here often, but this visit was extremely disappointing. The food wasn’t as good as it used to be, and the service—or lack of it—was the biggest issue.
We sat at the bar to eat and were completely ignored. No one checked on our food, refilled our water, or acknowledged us. We had a very hard time getting any attention at all. What made it worse was seeing the bartender actively engaging and providing service to other customers while we were overlooked.
The lemon sole Parisienne ($33) was overly buttered, and both the side vegetables and the rice pilaf were bland and unmemorable.
I don’t know the reason for the lack of service, but it made us feel very unwelcome. If it wasn’t for the nice singer, we walked out. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and we won’t be returning.

Rob was an excellent server, and I knew everything we needed before we needed it. The food from the appetizers to the drinks and desserts were all excellent. The lobster was delicious and l love how it was cracked for me.Everything was superb.

We enjoyed meeting up with friends that we haven’t seen since March. We were seated outside, which was lovely. It was a great evening. It’s on the water with a fountain and it’s really pretty. Indoors there was live music playing. The service was prompt and friendly, actually quite professional. Our drinks were delicious. I got the Hawaiian martini. Their bread is very tasty. I ordered the broiled flounder my husband ordered the seafood pasta. I recommend city fish market to anyone that wants a great experience and a beautiful view.

Great seafood spot. We enjoyed everything. I had the ribeye and it was excellent. My wife had the 2lb lobster and housed it all. The apple pie dessert is not to be missed.

The manager was extremely professional and did everything right. The service and atmosphere were spectacular and made for a very enjoyable evening. The food was good overall; although two of the six of us felt their fish was a bit dry and didn’t finish it. The dessert was absolutely spectacular and a real highlight. Sadly I would probably not go back.

I’ve visited City Fish Market many times. Recently, when I arrived for my reservation, one of the hosts told me my table would be ready in a couple minutes. Another host greeted me and walked me to a table near a very loud group. I asked for a different table and was moved to the outside deck which was much quieter. Perhaps I should’ve chosen the outdoor seating on my reservation rather than the indoor seating. My server (I forgot her name) was very friendly, fast, and attentive. She seemed to really enjoy what she does. I ordered the Skillet Seafood Newburg Au Gratin. It arrived at my table very hot. It was delicious and plentiful. Overall, while my first impression on this particular visit was subpar, the rest of the experience made up for it. I will probably be back!

Beautiful restaurant. Decent drinks. However, the service was underwhelming, and the food inconsistent. The clams casino were chewy but the twin lobster tails were excellent. The lobster bisque was flat with no lobster, but the seafood Newburgh was tasty. All in all not bad but I expected better from the build up we received.

Had a great time celebrating my mom. Our Server Timothy was amazing. Just know the chef and pastry chef are AMAZING! The food was perfectly made and cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was great felt comfortable. The complimentary parking was also a pleas. Definitely recommend!
