Ok, ok, ok, ok…. I was a lil worried when the only way into this place was from a box store parking lot, but…. I was wrong. This place was great. The food, the atmosphere the service…. it was above par. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

I only got the salad bar. I dont eat meat. Boy was I in for a treat! The salad bar had so many options! The servers were so nice. Sometimes when I go to places that are known for serving meat and I dont order meat, I’m looked at weirdly. I appreciate the kind service and good food!

My wife and son joined me for lunch here after church. I’ve worked in the city for 3 years, but never tried them. I had heard a little about them so I decided to take the opportunity to try them out. The restaurant is an old Ruby Tuesdays and you can still tell. It hasn’t changed any since Ruby Tuesdays was there. They do get props though on having it nice and clean. The bathrooms were even in good shape!
My boy had a the burger and fries. He likes it with just bacon and cheese. My wife had the steak. She enjoyed the flavor. I had a bite and agreed (even though it was way over done, but that’s the way she likes it….well done) that the flavor was nice. You can definitely tell it was not made on a griddle, but on a real flame grill. I had the sampler that came with a few ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket. I wasn’t a fan of their BBQ sauce, but you definitely get a lot. Granted for $23, you’d think you would, but I had enough for 3 or 4 meals. For us 3 to eat, it was around $62. They do not offer a military discount.

Had a terrible experience at this place. Our poor waitress was having to be a hostess and bus her own tables. She was super sweet, though you could tell she was stressed out. The food was horrid. I don’t think anyone in our party of 5 cared for their meal and we all got different things. I got the smoked turkey, a sweet potato, and salad bar. The salad bar was alright, but they were out of a few things. We kept asking the waitress what the soups were and she just said she didn’t know, so I didn’t try either of them (since I have dietary restrictions and didn’t want to take a chance). The turkey was super dry and wasn’t even like the texture of what you would expect smoked turkey to be. The sweet potato was lukewarm and seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. None of our meals were hot or seemed freshly prepared. I was just visiting the area and heard great things but we all were super disappointed in our experience. Hopefully management will figure out how to provide better staffing and food.

Used to really love this place, over the past 3yrs. However, the NY strips used to be phenomenal! But, the last 3x we went, they weren’t very good, a little overcooked, and had a lot of black pepper and garlic on it. They didn’t used to be like that. That part was a big let down. The service is always good, and the salad bar that they have is also very good! May come back just to try their brisket. If that’s good, then we may go back to get the brisket. And, the steak we’ll get from another restaurant.

BEEF RIB!!!! Find a restaurant that will do it better than this place, you won’t find one.
I enjoy3d the atmosphere here. It felt like a real steak restaurant should.
The salad bar was really good, bringing back the familiar feeling of having a great meal in a steak restaurant.
The onion loaf is a good portion. What you see on the review is a half loaf. So you better be hungry.
This will be my new go-to for steak, ribs, and BBQ during my stay in the Carterville area.

Salad bar is really good. Off the menu we ordered ribs (came out cold like refrigerator cold) sauce was not good, Baked potato with brisket. Brisket was extremely dry more like jerky & potato was extremely small. Chicken tenders my son got were really good & fresh not frozen. Service was horrible. After sitting for 20 mins waiting for her to take our order we had to get another waitress to get her then didn’t see her till food arrived. She only came back after that to give us the check. Horrible service! I would only go back for the salad bar not for anything else though.

What a hidden jewel. The onion rings are the best I have ever had!!!! Locally battered. Their soup and salad bar that is included with many meals was a great throwback to the 80s & 90s hayday for salad bars. Their gumbo was authentic and wonderfully spicy. The servers were filled with southern charm. BTW, they have a steak special on Wednesday nights that is great on price and a nice piece of meat for $15 with a side. Will be back.

I’m in town for work, finally stopped in here for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. The salad bar was huge which was nice, I ordered the onion rings and ribs for appetizer. The onions rings with ranch were delicious. The ribs were good as well, IMO little to much sauce. The entree I ordered was 16 oz cowboy ribeye. It was cooked just how i ordered and had a good flavor. I would recommend this place to any locals or someone in town.
I’m from Texas and I drink sweet tea like it’s going out of style , so I ordered a glass and it was great! Just like home.

We’ve had lunch or dinner here several times and the food is wonderful. There is also a plentiful salad bar available. We recently had my mother-in-law a surprise birthday party here and they went above and beyond to prepare our section & to do what was needed to aid in the surprise. We used one of the catering options(2 meats, 2 sides, bread & drinks) for 40 guests and the price was reasonable compared to some catering services we’ve used recently. Our guests are continuing to rave about the food(we did a bbq spread)I’m only giving 4-stars because in the service industry, there is always room for improvement. But I would highly recommend this restaurant for personal or event use.
