I’ve been here a few times and it’s always consistent. Good tacos, fat burritos, and solid prices. Can’t really ask for more.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. I got the fajita bowl with steak and it was very delicious! It’s the perfect location right off of Central Ave with a great atmosphere, music, and even better food. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for great Mexican food in St Pete!!

Casual outdoor seating, good for groups or singles. Music playing overhead added to the ambiance… the playlist was a range of 80’s -2000’s hits all without the same old pop hits being recycled a million times. There’s a bunch of large picnic tables with fans blasting near the ceiling that provide shade, as well as metal square tables for four on the other side…you can order and pick up your food at any of the windows clearly labeled. There is also a separate drink & refills pick up window. Free ice water for customers only. The menu which is on a large digital display is straightforward and offers a lot of choices. My 2 Mojo Chicken tacos were street-style. The chicken was not seasoned as well as I had hoped and was noticeably dry. Also, there was hardly any cilantro in comparison to the onion. The salsa verde on the side was very good and added a lot of flavor to my tacos. The “dragon fruit lemonade soda” was just okay. There was hardly any lemonade flavor to it and mostly soda. The service was fast, friendly, and professional.

Average.

Good: server Abby was great, the big patio wonderful, bar looked good too

Bad: food quality, picture Chipotle meets Tijuana flats with a nicer environment.

The ugly: the price. Lunch of two bowls, chips and salsa(small cup of salsa) one water and one iced tea….50$ before tip. Food was not worth it.

Overall: there is much higher quality food for the price. Ex. Grand Hacienda.

Will I return? Absolutely not.

Really good food and quick service and self seating in this location and burritos are worth it and I like the bowls with pork and then the order was wrong for one of my items but the speed of them making it right was immediate! I love this place

Today was my last day coming here. I genuinely love the food and the location, but the service has been consistently frustrating, and I just can’t overlook it anymore.

I come in at least once a week and regularly use my rewards. Today, I mentioned right away that I wanted to use my phone number for my free chips and salsa and started entering it. She took my entire order, asked if I had rewards (which I confirmed), processed the payment, handed me the receipt — and never applied it. I even had to ask for the chips and salsa afterward.

When I asked if I’d been charged for it, I was told it didn’t go through because I didn’t “click” the reward. But as the employee handling the transaction — after I clearly stated I wanted to use the reward — why wouldn’t that be confirmed before completing the order?

She apologized, but this isn’t the first time something simple has turned into a frustrating experience. I really enjoy the food, but the repeated service issues have made it hard to keep coming back.

Edit – the manager was the one who gave me a hard time about it. I’ll be spending my money anywhere else.

Had an absolutely phenomenal time eating at Red Mesa! This is one of our MUST spots when visiting St. Pete’s. Service is fast, food is fire & it’s right next to Green Bench. Can’t say anything bad about this place! This time around I got a brisket bowl with no rice.

Incredibly inconsistent– and we used to frequently visit. Every few weeks we’ve been giving this place another opportunity… still disappointed. Beans are either too runny or too salty, basically no vegan items at breakfast/brunch unless you get a bean burrito (but no one can seems to answer tje question of ‘is the tortilla vegan’? The table salsa used to be accessible and was great; now they restrict it and put it in tiny cups. How hard is it to make decent frijoles or get the rice finished in the morning? Just so expensive for what they serve now as well- Taco Bell sized bean burrito for $10.

This spot is a fantastic find for anyone craving standout Mexican food and seriously good margaritas. The menu is packed with great options, but the margaritas were next-level and the tacos were absolutely on point. The vibe is relaxed and spacious, perfect for bringing friends or the whole family. It’s not your typical Mexican joint and yes, prices run a bit higher for the type of food—but the flavor, quality, and overall experience make it more than worth it.
