I had lunch there and really enjoyed the cozy, small-town atmosphere. The prices are great, and the menu is very large—almost too large—which made it difficult to choose and made me wonder if the variety might impact the overall quality. However, the food was good. I had the meattball grinder and the fish and chips, and both were enjoyable. It was also nice to see a salad bar. The salad bar was fresh, well-stocked, and clean. Soup was delicious. Cocktail was also very well made. Service was great.

We visited last night and the restaurant was very busy. We were seated around 5:30 p.m., but our food didn’t arrive until 6:45 p.m. They do offer a soup and salad bar, which helped make the wait more manageable, but it was still longer than expected.

Unfortunately, when the food arrived, it was disappointing. My meal was cold, my daughter’s hot dog was shriveled, and while parts of my wife’s plate (the stuffing and sides) were warm, the chicken itself was cold. We informed our waitress, who was apologetic and said she would get the owner.

Instead, she brought the bill while we were still waiting to speak with him. We paid and were preparing to leave when an elderly gentleman stopped us near the bar. The first thing he said was, “Your food wasn’t cold,” and he immediately began explaining how busy they were. It was clear he wasn’t interested in hearing our concerns, so we ended the conversation.

We weren’t looking for a discount — we had already paid. We simply hoped for acknowledgment and accountability. Restaurants can have off nights; that happens. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the wait or even the food that will keep us from returning — it was how the situation was handled.

Haven’t been in a while, but the food did not disappoint.
The waitress, on the other hand.
Well, it was poor service to say the least. I don’t believe there was more than 16 to 18 people. In the entire restaurant with 2 waitresses, and we waited over 20 minutes.
After we had completely finished our meals.
Before I finally flagged the waitress down to get are bill. Setting tables and clearing, other tables is completely unacceptable.While a customer waits in limbo.

First time back in decades and not disappointed! Salad bar A+! Donna and Brandy were the servers/bartenders and even though short staffed they were attentive and welcoming! Drink was great as was appetizer and dinner. Salad bar made our night and will return soon! Great seeing you again Donna! And great to know still original owner! See you soon!

Absolutely wonderful prime rib on Friday nights. Comes with fresh bread, soup and salad bar. Our waitress was fantastic, she made sure we were doing good with our dinner and enjoyed it. Prime rib is served after 5:00pm

This restaurant has unfortunately gone way downhill. We’ve been dining here for years, but the recent change in staff has really affected the experience. We came in on Saturday night and our waitress, Kayla, seemed far more interested in celebrating her birthday than taking care of her tables. Our drinks were forgotten, and when our food arrived cold and we brought it to her attention, there was little concern or effort to make it right. It’s disappointing to see a place we once enjoyed decline due to poor service. We hope management takes notice and addresses these issues.

First of all it is evident that people do not take the time to post actual reviews because they use Facebook instead. Maybe if they did this instead the owner would take things seriously. He needs to.

To start there were 12 people in the restaurant. Us, 2 parties of 2 at the bar, a party of 4-5 behind us and another couple. Took 45 minutes on a Monday night to get a burger, chopped sirloin (another burger in reality) and pizza. Burger and sirloin both cooked wrong 1 was to be medium and the other medium well. Both were well done and fries were cold, gross. My 9 year old was smart enough to see/ taste his burger was over cooked.

Waitress was very sweet, clearly not surprised by the complaint and tried to offer a dessert also took a beverage off the bill. No thank you, We like our desserts fresh not frozen/days old. I brought my food home to my dog. Pizza was fine. Thank goodness for the salad bar.

When you have a complaint and the kitchen clearly does not care that is lousy. We came because we were hoping all of the complaints we have seen were not true but sadly they are.

We will not be back. Daytime seems to be better.

Went there for the first time and won’t be back. Ordered a dirty martini and the bartender ran out of olive juice. Poured my glass short because of it instead of opening another jar. Next, I ordered the fisherman’s platter. This dish should not be on their menu. This was a market price dish that had two tiny pieces of crab about an inch long a peice, some random bits of lobster, a white fish filet and some of tiniest bay scallops I have ever seen in my life. It was embarrassing. I do not recommend going to the Riverview for anything but average fair and average drinks. There are much better options within a short drive away.
