I ate in here last week, at lunch, and the food was so fresh and so good. The Chicken Chow Mein was EXCELLENT, best I’ve had in 40 years, and I’ve been trying to find some to compare to what I used to get at this little restaurant in Laurenburg, NC in the mid 80s. The fried rice was great. The Orange chicken was really good. The service was by far the best I’ve had in Kingwood in many many years. The portions are good and prices are very fair. I am still craving the Chicken Chow Mein, so I just ordered some food for pickup. Will update with a pick up order review. I will definitely be back for lunch.

This place has the worst chinese food I have ever tried. I don’t even know how they are still open serving such terrible food. If I could give zero stars I would. Everything we ordered was so bland and flavorless. This had to be the most tasteless and unappealing gross chinese food served in the Kingwood area. My chop suey chicken was absolutely horrible. It consisted of super thin slithers of chicken that were drowned in sprouts, cabbage, onion and celery. The sauce was appalling and the best way I can describe it is clear and slimy. I cannot believe they served me such an unappetizing meal. The dumpling filling was decent but too chewy and the peppered steak had zero to no flavor, whatsoever. I can honestly say the only positive thing was the size of the egg rolls, they are pretty large for the price but they too lacked in flavor. How can you mess up fried rice or even white rice? No, sprouts, onion, carrots or scrambled egg was visible in our fried rice. We searched it with a fork and found only a smidgen of egg here and there. Trust me when I say this place is not worth trying at all. I don’t like to leave harsh reviews but my family was collectively disappointed. Never again….

Hadnt been here in long time
Was disappointed. Eggrolls had no flavor. The beef and broccoli and kungpao chicken lacked flavor too. It used to be good. I went at noon thinking it would taste fresh.Would not recommend I should have read reviews! Fried rice was bad too

I’ve been giving here most of my life, but this decade only when I’m back in town for holidays. I was worried when I heard they changed ownership, but I went there and the food was as good as always.

It’s a touch more on the traditional side than a lot of Chinese-American restaurants. I love the Sesame Beef, and if you’re looking for something different don’t sleep on the shrimp-stuffed eggplant.

The wait staff were very informative about the menu as my husband has questions & as usual we ordered 4 main courses & a large fried rice for 2 people so the waiter knew to bring go trays!
Very good food & wait staff
Highly recommend.

My family, friends and I have been eating at Oriental Gardens for years. I just went to pick up 2 separate to go orders. $70 worth of food and I checked to make sure the soy sauce, sweet and sour and hot mustard were in the bags. I was told that soy sauce was provided but not hot mustard or sweet and sour. For some reason I was not given any hot mustard even when I asked and was told by the woman owner that 1 serving of sweet and sour sauce was available for $2. The food I ordered a few weeks ago came with the sauces at no cost but the food was surprisingly subpar. The new owners are about to lose a customer who has frequented OG for the last few decades. It’s a shame.

Oldie but goodie!! In my opinion, the best Chinese in Kingwood/Humble area. Don’t be fooled by its simple appearance! After moving from Houston, we struggled to find a Chinese place that stood up to our family favorite Kim Son, so we were thrilled to find this hidden gem. Our faves are chicken/beef on crispy egg noodles, Szechuan eggplant, and orange chicken. My kids love their fried rice, which has a delicious smokey flavor. They also give crispy won tons with sweet and sour sauce as a bonus appetizer- it’s a mystery how something so simple can be so addicting.

The food was so good we forgot to take a picture of everything before we dug in. For appetizers we had crab puff, BBQ pork, Pan Fried Dumplings, egg drop soup and Beef sticks (the loved this). Our entree consisted of Orange Beef, Stir Fried Walnut Shrimp, and Shrimp Fried rice. The restaurant is quiet and had only a few customers. The food is absolutely delicious and everything was under $100 for a family of four.

Worst meal ever. Ordered Lemon chicken and it was dry and hard. Had to throw it out. Special won ton soup had dry meat way more vegetables than anything. Got it to go. Will not go back.
Very disappointing.
